THE LEBRON 13 THREAD *Elites released**Command Force 6/11/16

i realize that when most NTers see the word "casual" their minds think of sweats, jerseys with their favorite baseball teams hat etc etc. to most, thats casual and therefore almost any sneaker can be pulled off "casually"

if i'm in vegas about to head to whatever establishment is most popular at the time. my jeans are appropriately sized, my shirt is fitting and has a collar on it. when i think of "casual appeal" as it directly relates to a tennis shoe (sneaker for you east coast headz) i am thinking of a sneaker that i could wear in this scenario as well as the others that will still allow me access to said establishment after the bouncer gives me the old once over.

vans, puma GVs, shelltoe adidas, AF1s, yeezys, a good amount of retro jordans...yeah those are easy

when it comes to signature player sneakers...specifically the lebron line, 7,8,X are the models that i feel fit this mold. yes, there may be others. but IMO this shoe doesnt even come close to having casual appeal by my standards. in addition, 7,8,X are shoes that look great with jerseys, sweats etc etc and can also be worn with evening attire.

colorways have alot to do with the equation as well.

I don't see why they have to stop just because he doesn't play there anymore, the cw is still synonymous with the LBJ line.

Due to his time in Miami... :rolleyes

Not like they were making Cleveland CW's after his initial move...and up to that point Cle CW's were synonymous with his line too. SB at this point makes no sense at all. Especially when they are barely releasing Cle specific CW's as well. Best one came on the Soldier.

probably just me, but Air Maxes (max zoom) doesn't speak the "casual appeal" you are talking about to me. all three of them are pretty bulky to me. they're great when you hit the mall or just out and about, but not for hitting a lounge or club. the only Lebron that would work with those attire would probably be the 6 with the all black or the nyc/55pts pair.

but of course, you can wear anything casually to the mall or to where ever.

for new performance model like lebrons, kobes, kd, or Jordans tho, i just think they deserve to be used on court first before hitting the pavement, but that's just me.

just using those 3 as an example. while a good portion would agree that they are probably the 3 most casually appealing of the line, there are others that fit the mold as well IMO. even though the 6 isnt a popular model, its resemblance to an AF1 could be on the list as well (regarding the lebron line)

my choice, given the circumstances would be to not wear a signature shoe at all.

Think the Mulberry will be one of the best XIII and a signature colorway in the Lebron line.

Wish that "casual" pic wasn't so filtered.

That said, these definitely have looked better on foot in every pic I've seen.

#kithfilter

i need a true triple black color way on these

Look JUST FINE casually to me...

I swear, same dudes saying it can't be done will be first in line for those uggggggly Laney Lows and will think that they look good in the food court with them on lol

Brb, lemme go squat in that thread and let everyone know how I feel....brb....

Thought this was a given honestly. Anything goes with sweats, you've already given up at that point.

I think, just like the initial choked factory laced pics of the X, the shoe looks much better with the tongue exposed better and the overall shape filled out more. Remember the X pics were all of factory choked laces and you could barely see the tongue.

I'm so curious about EXT's for these. Also praying for a south beach colorway. Plz Lord provide.
I can't wait for the EXTs on these

AF1 are ugly and are not a casual shoe, crappy bulky shoe, it maybe the worsed nike design shoe ever IMHO, moving on your def of casual is my def, pants, jeans, and shirts with a color and there are honestly few shoes that can't be worn like that if you go with complimenting colors.
13 looks better than the 9, imo.

13 is head and shoulders better than the 11 as well.
I whole heartedly agree with you, 9s may be the worse lebron model, def top 5 worse, thank goodness the X got the shoes back on track, so pay no attention to @The7onius  and @KingKoopa

I mean even when I rock the LBJ 11s with jeans or joggers, i get people turning their heads that aren't even sneakerheads, and have no idea who LeBron James is, let alone his shoes are. Those shoes are overall just a 10/10 bc of the fact that they are just so clean, while the 12 and 13 seem to have a little too much going on and seem a little bulky, BUT will probably grow on us eventually.

Not a shoe that I would spend 200$ on... maybe when the price reduces, or some better colors release...

The bulkiness of the 11 is the main aspect of holding it back from greatness IMO, cool you enjoy em (as do plenty of people) just it's the widest/gravy bowl backshot I've maybe ever seen, really nice profile ****** backshot and topdown...
Point being to that is the 12 has less going on for shape to where it actually looks like a human foot and the 13 shape looks to be form fitting (for Lebron) of potentially his entire line to this point
11s are bulky? Have you seen the rest of the Lebron line?

Next to the XI and 8, the IX is my fav

Then I like the 1 and 3
