Yeah its opinion based. I know for me Adidas bball used to not even be an option. The only one I actually liked were the Kobe crazy 8. Now Nike bball shoes look just as *** as the Adidas shoes. Quality wise Adidas might even have the upper hand at this point

once adidas makes a better looking shoe then ill try.

Curry joints were actually my favorite last year.

and luckily from me I'm one of the older heads who rocked different brands before kanye jumped ship or joggers got cool.

Retro quality nah. Nike may be even with Adidas but not worse. The chopped Key Trainer, Crazy 8 paint job issues and even the Crazy 2 retro. They also make tons of booty CWs like Nike also.

Also there isn't 1 Micro G that looks better then the Kobe 9 Masterpiece. I challenge anyone to produce a pic of a high top UA shoe that looks better.

yea. but the saving grace nike has is that their regular/ TB models are good.

hyperdunks/revs or what ever they are called are good money at a good price point.

sig shoes at this point appear to be directed at the solecrrector/ wear joggers/ ballet pose for the IG type crowd.

if people do have suggestions for a dope adidas ball shoe lmk. i will def try it out

^These are the men's soles, those are not size 13's in the pics that leaked today, they're grade school size 7.

The soles on the pair Lebron wore are identical to the ones on the leaked photos. Maybe they decided to go with an iced heel instead

They are definitely the 13, that's not the debate.

The catalog design description had Flywire in it, I don't see flywire on the leaked ones at all, which would be the same as the grade school versions the last few years.

Here's the best comparison I can find based on what he wore for soles.

Looks like it uses the same hexagonal zoom units from the newest leaked photo, but uses the shank plate from the original leaked photo

Theres no debate on if the leaked pics are GS... they are GS, they are posted by the usual suspects on IG and they all say GS

It's been said before but they kind of resemble the Zoom Hyperrev 14 (which is hideous IMO) and Hawk Flights (which are wack too IMO)

I actually think these will have more casual appeal than the XI and XII's based upon the simple design and shape. Definitely see potential.

I feel better about them now than from the first pics. Gotta see the mens version and other colorways.

I see some potential. But we've seen how much was left on the table with the xii, which i love.

Based on the silhouette, a triple black would be sick.

They look like they'll be a lot lighter than the past two models and I'm all for that. I'm hyped seeing them in the GS version, I'm sure the flywire and few extra bells and whistles that the men's will have will have me even more excited.

Shoe looks good to me so far. It has a old school look about them. Not as busy as past LeBrons.

For the first time since the Xs I'm excited to see what the signature lebron was talkin bout. Of course final judgement will be based on in-hand overview, but the silhouette and the surprisingly minimal upper compared to the XIs and the XIIs is a welcomed change.

Kobe vs Howard

That's a fair comparison and it's not even close. Mix and match the sig athletes anyway you want and Nike wins.

i know its 2 different things. but dude above said he would wear "air monarchs" over adidas nicest shoe. last i checked the air monarchs werent a part of the quartet

i am speaking from a standpoint of aesthetics and casual wear-ability. the lebron line has totally lost that element. the others arent far behind

i can't agree with this statement not when you have the ext line that has plenty of casual wear-ability

the only adidas i like are the Crazy 8, i have the wall edition and the NBC edition, i kinda like the look of the wall2 and the rose5 but unless they're gonna make a y3 material style it's a pass bcuz i only wear them casually, and if they do make them in a y3 casual material style they better not be priced $350, nike gets my money bcuz for the most part the ext line which is all i buy has been decent quality with lots of variability

The last D Roses had a special edition Y3 version that was hot.

The disparagement between Nike and Adidas ain't that wide when it comes to casual appeal of the basketball lines.

Adidas trash RN but a few hot designs can put them right back in this. Especially since Nike Basketball was in a somewhat slump casually prior to the KDIV's, Kobe VI's and Lebron VII, and there started being lines and hype and lines and **** with the Pre-Heats.

Nike Basketball has been slowing down on the dopeness design wise. Especially with the Kobes. Kobe VI's were classic and the X's hot. Everything in between either trash or a rehash of the silhoutte they've been using since the 5's.

A few hot shoes + hype limited color ways/Yeezy/J. Scott/Y-3/Pharrell collabs/CWs worn by the trendsetter rappers for the youth will put them right back up there with Nike in terms of casual appeal for the consumer.

As far as these, they look cool so far but I want to see Adult Sizes + color ways. They can get real crazy color wise with that triangle thing.

Those new pics are 100% the GS pair. Just need the same pics but for the Men's version.
