THE LEBRON 13 THREAD *Elites released**Command Force 6/11/16

Can't justify the price, 220 is too much.
The shoe seems simple, straight forward tho'.
Perhaps LeBron, since he has had so many issues with his shoes, went to Nike and had them scrap the other model shown.
Just give me a good shoe, leave out the gimmicks, bells and whistles.
I would not be surprised if that went down at some point.
He seemed to really dig the X's.
Went back to them when the XI's went south.
I do not think that there is anything wrong with using the X as the platform for all newer models.
Even aesthetically.
How do you do?

220 is to be expected, same thing as last year but with the new stretch fit upper, and these are sooooooooo much better looking than the 12's, the 12's feel too stiff to me as well.

The other model shown? you Mean the GS?

I'd love to see them do something that's kind of a mix of these and the X and I wouldn't be surprised if the XIV's are like that.

220 is only expected if someone is unbuttoning my jeans as I walk through the door.

No.

The other model is the earlier leak pic, those with the inner bootie.

If the Soldiers are just as good, and they are actually are on court, 220 flies in the face of conventional wisdom.

When are lebrons going to ditch the swoosh. Come on now, lebron crown can hold as a stand alone logo now. Jordan did at shoe 7. This past year, I think I've seen more people supporting lebron atire than ever before. Its starting to become a household. Ditch the swoosh.

I don't see it happening. I don't think the Lebron line can hold it's own like the Jumpman... nor do I see any reason for Nike to drop their logo.

Will never happen. Nike won't let it and the swoosh is so visible on so many LeBrons it'll change the whole look of the shoe.

I don't think Nike will do that with anybody again.

That's not saying much though, is it ?

The more I look at them, the more I like them. Have to see another colrway to judge if Im buying though.

As of right now i think the 12s are better.

Nike may not need LeBron like they needed Jordan, correct.
But let LeBron hint at leaving Nike.
Then let Nike take a look at who is on currently their roster, especially if LeBron entertains an offer from Adidas or Under Armour.
Nike will go, " what do you want??"
The doors of the vault will swing wide open, and logos would suddenly disappear upon request.
Mark Parker isn't that stupid.
But perhaps he is.
Maybe he thinks he can simply make more MTM shoes.

Mark Parker never should have let Kanye leave Nike...

Wasn't the Air Jordan I their 1st sig model ever? I know they were seeiously struggling in the basketball market (compared to Converse) prior to Jordan signing.

dividends and relevance in the basketball world was almost immediate after release of the jordan 1. thanks to the banned campaign and mostly the streets/hip hop community.

nike knew their gamble paid off fairly quickly.

Not a wise business move.
Arrogance peeks through the curtain.
Mark Parker, as do other corporate heads outside of music, do not understand the reach, desire and influence of committed Hip Hop artists.
Straight Outta Compton.
How long does LeBron have under his current contract with Nike?
He wants to be a billionaire with a capital B, and Nike will not be allowed to stand in the way.
Hunger.
Profits increased post KW, Nike don't eem care.

People will buy Nike shoes without Lebron, Kanye, Kobe, KD etc. They could leave and Nike wouldn't miss a beat.

Its about another company coming along and actually being a rival to Nike.

it's about brand blindness, companies have to get people to buy the shoes in the first place, "I" think adidas has great/good players on their roster but getting people to buy the shoes of those great/good players is the hard part, it's wild people praise WoW for the quality though i think it's more that people can't easily obtain them, J. Crossover2 was a hit from relatively unheard of brandblack, and mvp/championship curry sold ua curry one, now to see how far that goes with the ua2, now you look at nike who has had a consistent following bcuz of jordan, then add in barkley, penny, pippen, rodman, lbj, kd, kobe and a host of other stars that consistently sign with nike
