oops lmao

i just noticed the shape of the ankle part, like how it kinda separates from the rest of the shoe thats kinda cool.

Damn, I was hoping they would just stick to KDs with that trash design cue but they went to the big toe swoosh on Lebrons :smh: this may be the only model since the 5 that I dislike, Ive hated tons of colorways but the models are usually nice... I'll wait til I see some clear pics though.

and now 220.00 huh....the price is gonna kill this shoe off the bat it can have super dope colorways but folks gonna have to think long on a purchasing a pair nike just saw the 12 sit hard this time even the allstar kicks made it to clearance (even though the colors/design played a big part in these sitting)why didnt nike go back in price like down to 175 or 180 for these they wouldve sold better but 220.00 for these smh nike outlets everywhere gonna be loaded with these nothing in the early pics screams 220.00 but maybe its the initial shoes price and the rest are 200.00 like the crown jewels were....
Nike will NEVER lower retail on a sig model. Ever. Would rather take a giant loss than lose face and admit defeat like that.

I actually haven't seen Nike lower retail for any model they've ever sold.

Prices never lower because tech pushes forward.

People still bent out of shape over the price increases. It's to everyone's benefit. Even if these were $200 dudes would wait for discounts anyway.

Another thing is because a shoe sits people automatically assume failure. Nike is cleaning up now more then ever. Someone show me where I can get the entire 12 collection under retail at a outlet. If these sneakers aren't moving the outlets should be packed with tons of 12s in basically every CW. They aren't.

I was just talking in general, they would never admit failure with a price drop. I don't think the 12s were a failure at all, just that more pairs were made than the 11s where most colorways were only available a few weeks or less whereas even early colorways like the NSRLs or Datas are still on shelves across America on discount right now.

These will definitely still be had at a steep discount. None of us are paying $220 for any of these.

Agree that prices on a sig model are never going to go in reverse. They're a publicly traded company with significant growth expectations and they will do everything they can to cater to shareholders.

I can think of only one recent example where they lowered the price on something, and it wasn't a sig model. Last year they had the Vapor Ultimate cleat (1st flyknit football cleat) at $250 and I assume it flopped hard (heel slippage was a major problem), because when the Vapor Untouchable came out, it retailed at $200 (but box price tag was still $250).

If the shoe's nice, has good detail, and a good colorway or theme, I have no problem dropping the $220 on release date. 8)

They better be coming with a model a lot better than this trash for $220.

Trash in what way? Please explain to me what's trash about them. How's the comfort? None of the CWs you've seen are good? Does this shoe have a strap?

To judge a product so harshly off 2 sub par photos, and one being a GS looking pair. I'm sure you've seen these in person correct?

Agreed! People are EXTREMELY quick to downplay a shoe in here... until those official pics drop, that on video is shown, or Lebron is seen in that crazy PE on court (with clear pics) and the turn begins.

No, I haven't seen them in person. I don't like the colorways that I have seen that will be releasing so far . I also don't like the shape of the shoe for casual wear. To me it just looks generic. I also don't like the $220. A colorway I like could change it once the shoes are released but as of now I don't like them

What tech is present in this shoe? They are using modular designs that are seamless and/or predominantly one piece - vinyl wraps and stickers have replaced overlays and panels. Their manufacturing techniques are hardly innovative - they are applying clothing manufacturing techniques present for decades onto footwear.

And why exactly are price increases beneficial to everyone? The only people I see benefiting from the price increases are Nike corporate and shareholders.

Same reactions every year, not sure why people are surprised by them still.

Even the beloved 9's got a negative reaction at first leaked pictures.

I'm not saying the price is justified because of the new tech. I'm telling you that's the reason you won't see prices going backwards.

Higher prices have led to sneakers sitting and discounts as a result. I don't mind paying more if it makes it easier to get what I want.
