THE LEBRON 13 THREAD *Elites released**Command Force 6/11/16

The average consumer won't see the 13's until they hit the shelves.  So pics of the 13's surfacing will do nothing to sales of the 12.
If we talkin bout the average consumer there's no reason to debate this, IMO no average consumer is dropping 200+tax for shoes they are seeing for the first time. If the 13s look better than the 12s, why would you wait for a deep discount for shoes you don't like much.

This has happened in mutliple threads where dudes saw the new model and the first thing they said was they're gonna cop all the joints from last year instead.
Well then you're mistaken if you think an average consumer isn't dropping that money on a $200 shoe.  Parents do it all the time, they don't know what the hell it is though.

Parents do drop that much on sneakers but not so much that I'd call them the average consumer. If that was the case these Lebrons would be gone, I've seen plenty of kids rock 12s.

I like the 12's and thought the were one of the best looking LeBrons :rolleyes

I don't own any LeBrons though :smh:

Will try to get a pair of 12's if I can for cheap on discount.

You can find 12s for less than retail. I'd recommend NSRL's, HOAL's and Data's.

They are very comfortable.

Yeah I like the Data's a lot.

I haven't seen them on sale like that though only on Jimmy Jazz and I'm always to late.

11.5 seems to be a real popular size these days :smh:

Only other place I can think of that will have them cheap is eBay but I don't follow kicks that much these days so I don't know what's real/fake/grey market/factory variant and etc.

When you say less than retail that could mean like $10-$20 off but I'm talking in the ball park of $130 for a pair if I can snag them for that price.

I've seen them go on ebay for as low as $140 on all 3 i mentioned.

Best way to check on there if they are real is the seller's feedback.

Agree on them being very comfortable. I ended up picking up the NSRL's from hanon-shop for $120. I was thinking of making an ID of the 12 but I am going to wait now for the 13s. Based on how they look I may ID an all black 13 and call it a day.

The main problem that I have with the XII's, much like the KD's and the Kobe X are that they are too stiff, especially around the ankle area. Im used to a leather, nubuck, or softer upper with more flexibility and thick padding to lock in your heel. All this tech is taking that away from the shoe. However, it is saving me money, so Im not too mad.

I find it funny that Nike's biggest advancements include using plastic and yarn on shoes and yet the prices continue to go up. Does leather even get put on new models or is that strictly a retro thing? I agree they are utilizing too much technology in these shoes. And for what? What is this truly doing for the wearer?

If you're talking about real, genuine leather, I want to say they stopped using that a long time ago since leather ends up stretching over time and losing support. Synthetic leather won't suffer those same issues as much, but you're probably losing out on comfort, which I think is why Nike always tries to incorporate some combo of plastic/synth leather and mesh/yarn/whatever to get the best of both worlds.

I forget the name, but I did have a pair of genuine leather air max basketball shoes I hooped in during the mid 2000s (It was popular with Dirk and other NBA big men, though I'm sure there are plenty others like that) where the upper felt like butter when laced tight, and way more comfy than what's out on the market these days. By the time I was done with those though, they were so warped and stretched out of shape they resembled nothing like when they were new.

But yea, I feel you on the ridiculousness of Nike repackaging zoom air, throwing in yarn and plastic tech, and dropping a $200 tag on Lebrons.

EDIT: The shoes I was thinking of were the Air Max Chosens. Buttery smooth comfiness both under and on top of your feet...
