Got the Mulberry from NDC and I'm experience major squeaking from the right shoe's zoom unit on the heel. Click the link--> http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2hx6p2w&s=8#.ViAQ5flVhBc
for the video clip. It's not just pressing it that the squeaking occurs but when I plant my foot it squeaks like crazy. The left shoe squeaks a little when I press on it but doesn't when I walk. Don't think it'll go away as it's rubber(outsole) touching plastic(zoom unit). Didn't plan to keep it regardless just wanted to test fit indoors and outdoors and of course they'll be discounted eventually.
I would be wary of buying from a place that doesn't accept returns just in case this happens to your pair.
Aside from the squeaking, the thing that stood out on the 13 is that they are lighter and contains your foot better without sacrificing flexibility than the 12s. Putting the shoes on can be a pain but that's what the pull tab is for. To the lace swappers, it's mission impossible.
I'd go tts if you wear thick socks or a wide footer. Rather deal with the length than the tightness widthwise. Don't think the upper will loosen up that much if at all. I have a semi wide foot so that's my suggestion.
