THE LEBRON 13 THREAD *Elites released**Command Force 6/11/16

Not debating any opinions....but what do some of the nay-sayers want to see out of this line?  I mean, I'm really happy so far with the 13 from what I'm seeing so I'm just curious

this line has no direction...no lineage. it seems like its all over the place as far as where it wants to go. it also seems as borrowing from past designs and models have taken precedence over creativity.

not saying i dont like them yet, i'll wait for better pics. but to me looks like a lebron 9/hyperdunk hybrid

also seems like with the timing of the flyknit kobe iD and leaked pics of the LBJ 13 that maybe there is an attempt to steal some of the yeezy/adidas thunder? IMO

What do you mean no lineage or direction?

That back piece looks exactly like the 9's, just like the AJ6-8 shared DNA and the 11's and 13's.

Exactly, aj 6-8 were in order. The 11 didn't borrow from the 7, 3 and 5 (as an example)

IMO it makes no sense that the 10 seems like a descendant of the 8, and the 12 seem like I distant relative of the 9 elite, 13 borrows the shank plate (look) from the 9, but in the middle is an 11 that seems like it came from outta nowhere. But that's neither here nor there because I'd rather have a shoe that doesn't obviously seem borrowed from other shoes. And from what I'm seeing, that's exactly what's going on. And I'm not saying I like or dislike it yet either.

The more pictures come out, the more I think my man nailed it with his sketch and that we ironed out a good portion of the details in here.

That definitely looks like a flyweave upper with thicker support pieces weaved in at certain areas.

I'm having a hard time seeing that "floating" ankle shroud that was in the shadow silhouette that was leaked earlier.

The on foot shots look like a pretty solid one piece design, which I'm happy about.

That ankle piece from the outline picture had me nervous.

For me, I want to see proof that you actually believe in a technology because you use it and consistently make it better. Not speaking of the 13 exclusively...But the lbj line has used air, zoom air, air max, zoom, then zoom max, double stacked zoom, hex zoom, double hex zoom etc etc (not in that order)

They sell you on how great this carbon fiber shank plate with that same stuff that in elbow pads on the inside, then they take it out. Then they put it back.

Just be more consistent with the lineage/dna. And borrow from other shoes, but don't make it so obvious.

flyweave was never on the specs.

Question - Would you guys rather see blurry pictures early..or wait longer with no pictures and get to see clear pics later?

For me, these pictures have made me even more impatient now

I like the early blurry photos

Lets me know if I want to buy the current model or the future one

Yeah just going to wait. All I see now is that they have a huge swoosh on the front. They played in an academy with the darkest areas and dimmest lights on court apparently.

I'm surprised to see how sleek they look on foot given the fact that most of his shoes have enough room in the toe box area to fit his avalanche of toes lol

Zoomed in and edited a little further from @coachmoore pic. Definitely looking like there's a strap on the shoe. The 13's have me very interested right now.8)

Apparently not zoom in close enough. Who else sees the holes in the top part of the ankle shroud. Looks like they incorporated some of the Nike Air Flight Ones in there. Could just be the pic though...

Edit: Meh might just be the bad lighting lol...

Is it me or does this design seem like a pretty "run-of-the-mill basketball shoe" compared to the bold design of the 11s and 12s?

Jason and his team should've taken some risks with this design since it paid off so well for the past 2 models... Maybe Lebron wanted them to focus on the performance aspect more though.
