I've been playing in the 13s for about 4-5x a week for a little over a month and a half and here are how they are holding up:
The initial fit of the shoe was very tight near the posite placement areas on the upper. I thought it did a good job of holding my foot in place but felt like it was putting too much pressure on the top of my foot (referring to the piece in the middle of the laces). Now, after the shoe has fully broken and "molded to your foot," the posite is still functional but it feels a lot less restrictive and tight. The upper does get more pliable as you keep wearing the shoes and I found that sometimes I'd have to re-lace them after warming up or running around in them a little. I had no problems with lock-down or stability while playing - quite honestly, the 13s felt like one of the most stable shoes out of all the signatures shoes in LeBron's line. Overall the upper holds up really well, other than the scuffs/scratches on the aforementioned posite pieces. I like to think of those pieces as armor and the wear and tear is inevitable lol.
The cushioning is phenomenal on this shoe, particularly over time. Last year's model implemented the podular zoom system that sounded awesome but didn't really do much for a lot of folks (myself included). They brought it back this year and you can feel the bounce right out of the box (particularly the larger units). After you break in the shoe, the out-sole obviously becomes a little more worn and this made the bounce more apparent. I do wish they put pods in all the allotted areas, but I assume that will be done on the elite versions coming out later.
Traction wise, I really enjoyed the transition from heel to toe, something that wasn't great in the 12s. My WITS sole is starting to get a little yellowish from the usage, no matter how much I scrub them and try to keep them clean (I usually give a solid scrubbing after a day of playing to get the dust off and keep them shiny). They hold up well on dusty courts (I should know, the one I play at is ALWAYS dusty) and I never had a problem with cuts and stopping on a dime. I'd assume these wear out quickly on outdoor courts, though, as the grooves on the out-sole for the translucent soles don't seem too thick.
It looks like people are able to cop pairs of 13s at good discounts (saw $128 after discounts recently on NDC), so for that price I'd definitely cop if you're looking to make these your hoop shoes. I wrote an initial review a while ago and said I got them on discounts, but honestly I wish I had waited cause you can probably get them for even cheaper than mentioned previously. I definitely have these going heavy in my rotation and love playing in the 13s - my only gripe would be the weird length of the toe-box area in comparison to other LeBron models. While I went TTS, I do find the extra space a little weird, but it did not affect the overall lock-down or stability for me, so it was never a huge issue. For some, I can understand if you have really narrow feet or, conversely, really wide feet - this could be a weird dilemma for you as to whether to go TTS or not. You can look back at many posts to see what other members have done regarding those issues with sizing (as I mentioned, I stayed TTS).
