THE LEBRON 13 THREAD *Elites released**Command Force 6/11/16

I hope they continue to make Lebrons unique. I like having a signature shoe that looks like a signature shoe rather than another basic design

Let's agree to disagree here, but Nike signatures have been 'basic' looking for several years now. Maybe it's because I'm in my 30s and lived through the gold age of sneaker design that was prevalent in the 90s and early/mid '00s.

Beyond some basic aesthetics, I think it's a stretch to make a strong link between the XIII and IX -- especially if you've worn or even just tried them on. The construction, design and materials feel a lot different between the two models -- at least to my feet.

I don't like the XIII as much as other recent LeBrons, but I at least appreciate the fact the design team "went for it" despite creating a shoe that doesn't exactly seem to be loved by the masses.

The overall design is quite similar the materials are plastic mesh except for the 'Foamposite' bits.

That's a simplistic -- if not superficial -- way of looking at it. If the IX and the XIII didn't have a similar looking clover/posite tripod I don't think anyone would be making the comparison. The shape of the midsoles are considerably different, as are the cushioning systems on both shoes. And while some don't like it, the XIII's posite strap over the instep is a new design feature that makes for a unique fit.

Have you tried a pair of XIII on yet? They don't feel much like the IX, I'll tell you that much.

they are monsters on court IMHO, most reviews here seem to be positive at least. and off of vood99's statement below i really really like the way they look.
this ! someone mentioned earlier they look like elite versions of the 9, personally i agree 110 %

opening nights and on courts are all i got so far, just waitin for price drop on black lions, im cool with 150ish for these. did i stutter ?

i only played in mine 1x so far. still breaking them in.

as far as the XIII resembles the IX... a little bit due to how the posite looks like that blob on the 9, but i wouldn't say it's a rehash because of the cushion and upper construct is completely different. If anything the xiii is an upgrade of the xii.

^agreed.

IX and X were the only two lebron i didn't buy. IX was very narrow and that midfoot strap thing bothered me when i tried them on. The X was just too chunky looking and after the 7 & 8 I just don't find the air max/zoom comfortable.

Jimmy Jazz has $50 of $200, code JJMORE, + shipping. Works on all release except Black Lion and BMH. Definity worth it for those looking to get the Xmas or HF for under retail

Thank you bro. It definitely helps. These retail prices are hilarious.

Like LeBron himself, the LeBron shoe line is going down hill fast. The only hope is to get rid of Jason Pietrie (sp?) and bring in a new, fresh designer moving forward. The last 3 LeBrons (11, 12, 13) have been pure garbage.

It may not make a difference to be honest because it's now Steph's league and LeBron is on a rapid decline.

I like Curry, he's good for the NBA...and UA is good because it keeps Nike on its toes. But they're light-years away from making shoes that people rock casually.

Closest thing Nike made was the KD 5...and those weren't exactly flying off the shelves.

I may prefer Nike kicks but you damn well better believe that my boxer briefs, compression gear, and half of my other sportswear comes from UA.

As for the Lebron line...I think a new designer is in order. But even then you never know. Leo Chang killed it with the Kyries but biffed on the KD 8.

Why bro?

I know a lot of cats offline that swear by UA's gear. Nice never owned any of their products but I did like the Spine tech I'm not loyal to any brand. Hell, I'm more geeked about the Lillard 2 than the Kyrie 2.

Quality, fit, and comfort.

I still have (and can wear) every piece of Under Armour clothing I've ever purchased with the exception of one shirt that I outgrew. I had a Jordan shirt come with a hole in the stitching, wore a pair of Nike leggings that tore just bending to tie a shoe. Expensive basketball shorts that literally unraveled because a hangnail caught a thread. Adidas clothing fits poorly, just like most of their shoes.

And I do dig the D Lillard 2 in that white/gum colorway.

Dang right.... Majority of my shoes are Nikes, with the exception of a few pairs of Adidas and Sauconys (for running). All of my running gear is UA. Better quality and pricing is just right. Nike has compression pants costing $150. I can hit the UA outlet and get some quality ones for $25.

All of my shoes are Nike/Jordan with the exception of sandals and boots.

I do own UA shirts and hats. But I have more Nike apparel.

I love the UA Storm line of hoodies though.

As long as the shank plate and midsole colors match, the shoe looks so much better. Case in point: If that PE had a grey shank plate and the blue accent went elsewhere, much better IMO

No body will be wearing any under armor shoes, they can just let that go now.
Curry 2s pure trash
