THE LEBRON 13 THREAD *Elites released**Command Force 6/11/16

If Nike dropped the price on the Lebron 12 for example to $160. I bet they would've moved better. If a sneaker is moving then they'll be no need for discount. You could get 12s around or less then that via discount a week or 2 after release.

The other positive besides discount is availability. A lower price means they'll be more people who'd persue the sneaker. I like being able to get a sneaker day 1 without hassle or having it around a month or so later if I want them.

To sum it up, currently I'm getting shoes under retail without hassle. What's the problem people?

They are pricing them at same relative price as Jordans, Barkleys, Robinsons were priced at back in the day

Everything goes up in price, Nike isnt trying to price them so you can play Pokemon with them, they are trying to get the highest profit margin

Prices never lower because tech pushes forward.

People still bent out of shape over the price increases. It's to everyone's benefit. Even if these were $200 dudes would wait for discounts anyway.

Another thing is because a shoe sits people automatically assume failure. Nike is cleaning up now more then ever. Someone show me where I can get the entire 12 collection under retail at a outlet. If these sneakers aren't moving the outlets should be packed with tons of 12s in basically every CW. They aren't.
Tech is the lie nike tells to up prices....im not surprise if nike down grades on materials"tech" and up grades on price just to see how far they can f with us so at this rate a regular lebron sneaker is gonna be 250.00 in about 3 years all because of tech right?....the next step better be auto laces on lebrons how much more cushion can you get?

You put it all in perspective.

I can get DH off City Gear right now for $105. If they retailed at $160 they likely would have moved a lot quicker.

Exactly. An by the time the shoe hits $105. Half the people who were waiting for discounts have moved on to another shoe.

anything after 160.00 is possible to hit clearance racks.... most peeps would feel more comfortable with buying 160.00 i was coping damn near every colorway for 7s and 8s but the 9s i had 90 percent of every color that dropped thats them being priced at 170.00 when lebrons jumped to 180s and 200 i  started to buy less and less it had to be super dope for me to cop it...im not paying 220 plus tax(we got high sales taxes in texas) for lebron 13s this is when i bow out i can move on to vic cruz or kyries if all lebrons are 220.00 from here on...

But plastic Jordan's and Kibes are better?

The issue is with nike basketball as a whole

 Leather is gone. Why are people complaining about not getting a heavy non-breathable meaterial on a shoe built to be lightweight and for performance. Thats like being mad cars aren't metal anymore, you want fuel economy, then somethings gotta give. You want leather, buy something that isn't made for the court or just buy older shoes when they didn't have hyperfuse, flyknit, flyweave, flywire and whatever else they use now.

Different strokes to be honest.
I believe the 8 was the best at satisfying different tastes with the V1-3s. I didn't love the leather or suede versions but loved the plastic ones. Some dudes love the v1s tho.

Also, a lot of dudes wear brons as casual shoes instead of hooping shoes. Leather appeals for casual more than a performance looking shoe IMO.
