THE LEBRON 13 THREAD *Elites released**Command Force 6/11/16

I'm in for 5 pairs. Maybe 3 highs, one pair of lows and a pair of EXT's or Elites pending how they look. The q3 is looking really solid to me.

 got dudes already lining up their purchases of lows, elite and EXTs sight unseen... now that's dedication.

Lol yeah for me I've been collecting Lebron's for years now and I typically do 3 to 5 pairs of Lebrons a year but went a little over board on the 11's and did 13 pairs. I try to get a version of each shoe. But all in all once the official photos drop of the main shoe you get a general idea of what to expect fo the most part. The lows will more than like have some type of air bubble, the Elites will be a lighter trimmed down version etc, and the EXT's will use a more "premium" material. Nothing really drastic usually changes in how there released imo.

Thanks guys, already out of reps this morning, but really appreciate the feedback, and look forward to chatting with everyone when you try them out.

Woke up to a ton of PM's as well, which is awesome.

:wow: damn 13 pairs of 1 model? Only Elite I've really liked has been the 9 and the 10 red carpet ID only.

So they fit a lot like  the XII and have the same comfort?

Fit very similar length and width wise to the XII.  I don't know if I would say "same" comfort as the XII, as the midsole/outsole combo is quite different, but similarly comfortable.

The ankle padding/collar area was more comfortable on the XIII's for me (softer, yet supportive), and the whole shoe has a very fluid comfort throughout because of the design of the upper, no rigid spots or feel.  Will be a very short break in period with these, if any.

Thanks.

Good to hear. The difference between the XI and XII was crazy.

I can barely wear the XI anymore. Just not the same cushion and support.

@dwoodactennis

Can you enlighten us more with the traction? Is it just okay or Kobe 9/XX8/XX9 like? Also, do you think it'll last outdoors? I know you have the translucent soles which burn faster than solid ones but what do you think?

Gold posite would be [emoji]128293[/emoji]
I still don't know why Nike did not make it available on the 12 id's
Got the new Lebron Slam Magazine

Saw these and still upset. Hopefully gold upper or posite on the XIII.

I felt like the traction of the XIII would be right there with the Jordan XX8/XX9's, and personally probably a little bit better than the Kobe 9.  The tread pattern finally seems to not be so dust prone and so shallow that you have to wipe them every 5 seconds when you are on court, unlike the XI and XII's.  The big thick line treads on the zoom pods are very wide and very deep, I think those should remain tacky for a while.  Outdoors these probably aren't the best, the translucent material will probably be eaten up pretty quick if I'm being honest with you.  But I would say the XIII has good traction, above average for once in a long time.

It's clear Nike actually put some effort and did something about traction on this wave of signatures, the KD8's, Kobe X's, and LBJ XIII's all have markedly improved traction this year over the previous models.

I think I have brick feet. I never can feel the level of details that are reported between different versions

The xx8 had a bouncy feel but that's about it.

Can u post a pic of them laced up where it stops before the top 2 holes? Like with the tounge showing.

Are you saying like stop the laces prior to the top 2 holes to see how they would look if you laced them like that or for a better look at the upper tongue piece?

Would be glad to do either, but will be this evening, I'm in my office now.

dwoodactennis dwoodactennis great review again. Couldn't have come at a better time. Thread needed an informational boost (even though shoes aren't out yet so people don't have them) instead of opinions on aesthetics.

With that said, I don't think a lot of people will go out and pay retail. It'll just be another year we can have these at discounts since they are pretty similar to the 12s but with moderate improvements.

Some people didn't like the wide heel of the XI and XII, so it's good to see it's slimmer this year. I didn't mind though since I have skinny legs so the wider stance made them look good on me
