yup.. show should have essentially been like those grantland NBA previews.. or when they would do the live stuff, like for march madness

get someone knowledgeable.. have the guest.. then have someone else with a personality.. all within a relaxed setting

for example, my view was that the espn NBA show really should have been rose and simmons (maybe jacoby).. then with Zach lowe popping in for some segments.. and then you have interviews with coaches and players

all on a couch, relaxed.. no suits and ties

Bill has 2 years left on that HBO deal. He will prob just add to the documentary side, Real sports, etc. or make a show that might work with him behind the camera.

At least Bill tried but that should be a wrap on his on screen venture. Seems he's more of a behind the scenes guy with his 30 for 30 stuff. That's what I actually thought he'd do at first when he signed the HBO deal.

Hopefully this time he stays in his lane and goes back to writing columns. He still has one of the most popular podcasts and his ESPN columns were one of the most popular. Especially the mailbags.

Simmons getting canned this early is a shocker. But HBO is big business and ratings were toilet. Simmons still has his contract and still workin for them though. Bill hopefully sticks to writing and podcasting now. Sports media has become too saturated and it sometimes bursts - everyone cant do everything. Media members now have to be a star doing 10 different things putting their face everywhere. All talking about the same 3 talkers every day that people eventually tune out.

Yep. He'll do other things for them. I very much look forward to that, because 30 for 30 was his idea (in great part, at least), and he probably has even more freedom with HBO.

I can also see the myriad of podcasts on Bill's podcast network being a problem in the near future.

There's too many and just confuses and dilutes his own audience.

They definitely need to clean that up. Only podcast that's really killing it right now is Keeping it 1600.

good, he been stingy with the guests his podcast during the hbo show's run ...maybe now he can get real interviews

Damn. Elle trying real hard to get another role. Probably not even wearing underwear. She needs to wear skirts that short all the time and stop being behind the sportscenter desk.

Tim Cowlishaw ‏@TimCowlishaw -- Yes, this is true. Yes, this is Cuban being a moron. Nothing new in itself, only new level for him. Funny he bashes Trump for this behavior.

Tim Cowlishaw ‏@TimCowlishaw -- And @mcuban will think this is all just good publicity for him and his little 1-5 team. And he's wrong again.

These media clowns are 12-year old girls. Got no problem with Cuban booting out whoever he wants even if I wouldn't do it. Cubes will learn though that the second you don't continue to allow the media to feel important then they will circle you like sharks and not let up until you relent. Should be entertaining.

You can bet the NBA is going to have a talk with Cuban about pulling a media partner's reporters credentials.

I'm sorry for bumping the thread with useless posts but again
