I don't go on Deadspin but their headlines always come off as click bait with hot takes. If that's for satire then they should be more creative.

Deadspin isn't click bait-y at all. If anything, headlines are one of their strong suits.

im sure ESPN is trying to get buddy buddy with NFL so they can land a contract with them sooner or later...

The current NFL contract (which ESPN is a part of) runs through 2021. So, definitely later lol. This isn't about the re-up. That is certainly happening, as the NFL has deals with all four networks and won't ditch any of them. The problem is, ESPN has a lot more air time to fill than the other networks, so they jam it full of pointless NFL talk. ESPN Radio affiliates are required to devote 50% of air time to the NFL, no matter what time of year it is. That's insane lol.

I like some of the articles, but a lot of their writers aren't objective and go on moral high-horses all the time. Gets old quick.

Okay.

He clearly knows what the phrase 'You Suck' means, and I presume Deadspin knows this as well, 1.) If they're not deadbrain 2.) If they listen to what Reggie said after that (for the most part, reason No.1 is enough).

So, literally, it's a story about Reggie Miller's unsuccessful attempt at a joke in the middle of a telecast? THAT'S the embarrassing joke.

Or do people and Deadspin really just like making fun of people who are easy to make fun of? It's that, which is why I am sick of these mega-blogs outside of Grantland.

Deadspin was at it's worst during the lead up and aftermath following the Mayweather/Pac' fight. Calling Mayweather a COWARD for boxing reasons. C'mon now Trust me, I get the Mayweather slander for his transgressions out of the ring, but you got columnists on DS going in on how he boxes for no other reason that they dislike the man.

Criticizing Deadspin is like criticizing Jon Stewart or Colbert... they're not supposed to be objective or taken 100% seriously all the time. Their job is to poke fun at sports, ESPN, athletes, etc. They're capable of solid reporting, insightful articles, etc., but still.
