We complained about the former athletes and drones they would put on the set before Bill Simmons and Keith Olbermann were canned for mostly NFL-driven reasons, how the two criticized it, etc.

Would ESPN fire somebody for saying true things about Roger Goodell, other injustices that relate to sports, that did it without the self-righteousness? We all like Simmons, Olbermann and will watch/tune in to them in whatever capacity they're in in the future, but they both undoubtedly made it simple for ESPN to make these moves because of how much on the offense they were when communicating to us. Simmons saying **** which I have no problem with, Olbermann with the, 'HAVE YOU NO SOUL, MR. GOODELL? HAVE YOU NO DECENCY?"

ESPN is a business and, of course, value their business relationship with the NFL: But they wouldn't have had the out that they did to terminate Simmons/Olbermann if either had communicated their displeasure with the NFL in a John Oliver-type of way. Oliver rips apart people all the time, but his diatribes always get back to the heart of the issue quickly, or another significant tentacle of that issue. And there's a goodness that shines through him when he's ripping people apart, almost like he's a stand-up comedian, like he's saying things that we've always thought about / agree with for the most part. Whereas Simmons and Olbermann don't feel like they're speaking for us when ripping apart Goodell... it feels like they're officially declaring this as their swing. Their attempt to break the pinata, and they're damn right!

Cowerd's show is real popular for morning commuters. Word is ESPN wanted to keep him but Fox Sports just outbid them

Cowturd is a klown be talkin about everything under the sun but sports and the ish don't even be making sense...

I can't stand the sight of his face..

Putting a person that is both competent and opinionated in that time slot/platform, which goes out to everrrrrry market in the country, is basically ESPN picking a person to become a famous sports commentator

Anybody with those qualities in that time slot will do well.

Dan Patrick >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cowherd

And I don't mind Colin. But Dan is legit as it gets on radio.

Fox Sports need to give it up lmao they are paying people crazy money and people still aren't watching that channel. They cancel so many shows due to low ratings

only people I care about on espn right now.. le batard, bomani and PTI.. and a couple of grantland folk (jalen, jacoby and couple others)

I hardly watch PTI anymore.. but I download podcasts, so that helps with the people named above

^ Agreed minus the Grantland part. Hate when they get Whitlock on PTI which has been pretty often recently :x

wilbon has turned into an angry old man who yells like an idiot.

Highly Questionable is the best show on both networks. Papi > everyone.

I've been watching america's pregame and they got some dumb people on that show.
