Guy loses 6 fig job after FHRITP yelled at reporter

His company would've looked bad keeping him around as an employee. Would you want someone like that representing your company? It looks horrible

Grown men shouldn't be acting like that anyways

I wonder who was the first to troll a reporter in the field on cam :nerd:

Never really though about how much it probably happens to each reporter

like the freedom to fire an employee who is giving your business bad PR?

fallback

Never seen so many people caping for corporations.
You dudes see the video?
They trying to charge people for assault/sexual harassment all types of ****.

Was this employee really giving the company bad PR?
If the company never fires him this remains a non story.

Don't think people are caping, just know for every action there's a reaction, and just happened to lose his job over something silly. It happens everyday.

It's funny that people are going down with such an accurate statement. If you're against FHRITP then you're with sodomy and idk about you but Jesus is watching, HELLO. You need to protect the company image and protect yourself from your innate heretic ways.

Troll level: DC all American

It's cute how people here talking bout company policy.
Large percentage of NTers get a bulk of their posts in during work hours from their work computers.
Tell me how NT fits into your company policy.

Does punishment fit the crime here?
Dudes days may have been numbered a long time ago.
He just gave them grounds for termination on a silver platter.

You cats could stop being so sensitive though.

nah comments on espn scaled back like hell when they made you post from your facebook.....before the changed it over a couple years ago it used to be
sick.gif
 with right wing racism
I remember it used to be real bad before that, but when NBA and NFL players were wearing the I can't breathe shirts and the Rams did the hands up don't shoot gesture, those comment sections were pretty rustled.

the abc 7 news comment section for the stuff they post on FB from anything police related is pretty bad right now too.  it's crazy though because alot of the folks being bold about how they really feel have their place of employment on their profile when a screenshot and email to their jobs corporate or human resources could potentially land them in hot water when their posts are a poor representation of the company.

which corporations are people caping for?

like plural ie. multiple corporations right?

or do you not understand that even small businesses have a code of conduct and can fire people at will for breaking them...

but this is about "corporations" though... name the multiple corporations people are defending... i'll wait.

Ohh yea I forgot about that. any article about that had comments filled with white rage

It's actually getting easier to terminate employees for conduct outside of work. Just 2 years ago I'd just have to sit back and act like I didn't know employees were talking trash or acting foolish online. Now I can terminate for such offenses (posting drugs, talking abt coworkers, etc). Most of the time I don't even care but we def get more complaints than you'd think abt our employees when they do something foolish and someone finds out we employ them. If you can be connected to your job; you can be fired for dumb actions. I tell my employees to not even put their shirts on until they get to work.

^ yep

Exactly why I don't have my place of employment on my social network profile. Also why I refuse to add certain people I work with on social media. Some folks love to send emails to HR

I can't ever take dude seriously, always arguing just to argue. ****** got **** to do man, be mad with a purpose.

The dudes that sneak up and touch the reporters or physically grab the microphone from them deserve to have hands put on them. Imagine someone running up behind you and doing that while you're focused on something else?

I never said they don't have the right to fire someone for breaking their code of conduct.
That's not the point I'm trying to make.

Dude got caught up and now he gotta pay the price for it...tough luck.
I'm just not going to sit here and act like the punishment fits the crime though.

It's part of the over sensitivity problem we have as a society. Everybody wants to be offended these days.

I agree it's harsh, and a part of the new reactive society, but I can't feel bad for him.

In this world we live in, hardly any punishments given fit the crime. There are too many examples of when these things just don't make sense whether it be murder wraps, racial profiling, etc. That is why I would think people shouldn't be surprised anymore. I think people assumed something like this would happen.

How about just acting like a respectful human? Is that too much to ask? You can be funny and respectful of others at the same time.

Dude is out there defending that stupid prank like his life depended on it. Is that the type of moron you want to hire? To be the face of your company? It's one thing to do a prank. It's another to stupidly defend when someone is telling you they felt disrespected and why it was disrespectful.
