AirBNB Questions & Tips

NT Fam, I'm staying at a place through Air B n B for work this week. Got the whole pad to myself but this is the first time I've done Air B n B so I'm a complete newb. I asked my host some questions, but I haven't seen her and don't want to seem like a total idiot and keep asking her questions. So I figured I'd ask you all some questions:

- Do you guys hang your clothes up in the closets?
- There's a **** ton of wine and liquor here, as well as random soft drinks in the fridge. Is it cool to drink this stuff or no?

Any other tips? This is all still really new and really weird to me.

-I stayed in a couple places and never touch the food or drinks there. I do hang my **** up.

-My aunt rents her house for Air BnB.

Her motto is if she leaves it in the house, that's an open invitation to guess. So she gets everything out

Some of the **** these guess do :smh:

You would have to ask her/him about the drinks. My host was awesome and bought me some food and toiletries to keep. She also scammed me out of my booking last minute after I arrived but t the same time accomodated me by allowing me to give him $80 for 4 nights to stay in her living room behind this curtain on the top bunk (in Harlem, 122nd street, African lady named Regine Asaba calls her place the Comfort Stay NYC). I had actually booked the full apartment but like I said, once I finally made it there, she told me her daughter from Cameroon had surprised her and she gave her the apartment I booked, logged into Airbnb/paypal and refunded me on the spot but it was late and my phone/netbook were both dead and you can't get anythnig in NYC last minute for anything near reasonable and I was NOT trying to do the hostel thing, but again I didn't have the ability to get online and book one anyways.

So I was sitting there in the living room, had no idea how big the place was because from the living room you can just see the kitchen, then hallway and a bunch of doors. It was probably no less than like 7 or 8 bedrooms in there. I'm just sitting on the top bunk behind the living room couch and I keep seeing couples and people come in and go back off into different doors and ****. I'm like man how man rooms is this place? Regardless, my fat *** on a top bunk is unacceptable but she lets a guy stay on the bottom rent free in exchange for his webmaster services, he lists all her properties on airbnb, craigslist, etc. So we finally pulled the curtain and went to sleep,, woke up in the morning and went and hooped with some NTers in Queens, then was like I'm not going back to that **** so I got on priceline, named my own price in Newark (right across the river obviously, $1.25 15minute train ride back to NYC) for like $60 a night for the rest of my trip and stayed in the Hilton Newark instead. I was mad I left my chicken she bought me and plus $60 though but never went back and got them. She called me and asked why I didn't come back, I lied and told her I had to work and it wasn't her.

Oh, and a LOT of people on that site will demand you send them pics of fb links before they approve your booking because they don't want black people at their place, many even say so directly.

It was an interesting experience, but I wouldn't do it again.

I don't generally hang my clothes but that's more so because I am lazy. If I was there for a whole week I would tho. Regarding food/drinks, just ask. I've used airbnb quite a few times and have never had a bad experience.

Thanks fellas. I just found my host's panties in the dryer and it kind of turned me on. I got issues man :smh:

What is an airbnb?
AirBnB is a service that allows people to rent out their homes/spare bedrooms to travelers. It isn't meant for long term arrangement but for people on vacation.

But to answer OP assume the answer is no unless you spoke about it with the owner.

Hell yea hang stuff up. It's your place for the time being man. I'd just ask about the liquor but my host said it was fair game for w/e was there. I was staying for a while and the stuff she was talking about was rice, olive oil, cleaning stuff, etc.

Bro I want to impress the yambs, this place is HELLA nice. Loft joint, hardwood floors, big *** window. 1.5 baths, 1 bed. She might not get this spot back.

Hotel Toshi in NYC used to be the joint for that too. Think NYC kept fining him and he books differently or not at all now. If in NYC, look it up though

I used airbnb when I stayed in Hollywood. Dude said any food/drinks/cooking supplies in the crib were useable. Just said don't drink the liquor but it was some garbage so we didn't care anyway.

The whole airbnb thing just seems really uncomfortable/bizarre to me. Don't think I'd ever be able to do it. Though some of my friends have used it and had nothing bad to say.

I hear ya man, I just don't think it's for me. the older I get the more I like my privacy, plus my wife would never stay at an airbnb spot. And I'm damn sure I'd never let some internet rando stay in my house.

What if it was a group of females that was coming to the area for a lusty erotic party, and they needed a place to stay? And your wife was visiting family across the country? :nerd:

I'd get two adjoining rooms at the microtel and just have the party there, for a grand total of 79.98$

Don't drink their liquor B.
Stayed with airBnB for 3 weeks.
Just don't disrespect the house, you can hang your clothes. There's nothing wrong with that

What if they left those things for op ?

Are they full bottles of wine and liquor?
