C Students are the winners in life

The one thing that bothers me about this mentality is that they forget to mention this usually applies to already smart people who are just bored with school.
Exactly.. If you can choose what grade you're gonna get the system is already failing you. Lots of gifted students being held back to jump through all the hoops.

This doesn't mean if you try your very best and get Cs you're winning. It means if you wanna skate through to focus on what matters you'll probably come out ahead because half the hoops to jump through for an A are just BS

It really just depends. But I don't understand how you are winning if you shoot for a C

It almost is as though people are just trying to reinforce decisions that they have made. Hell maybe to even justify failures or shortcuts. And also, they aren't showing and talking about the people that this hasn't worked out for.

Exactly, where are their numbers of "success" coming from? What's a "c" student? Struggling to pass, not being able to do any better, and being too board/lazy to get earn a higher grade are three completely different things.

Wha?

People are being denied jobs because they made a C in calculus?

Im mean really, it shouldn't even matter, unless you're the type that thinks your GPA makes you better than others....

I don't think the article is encouraging mediocrity I thinks it saying grades don't define u . There just letters what u do in the real word defines u.
Define YOU, as a person, no. It does judge work ethic, knowledge retained, information processed, fluency, ect. That's not everything but that's defiantly something

Most people don't believe/think that. But there are some very promising careers and programs where even a B doesn't usually cut it.

And unfortunately, if you are in a program that allows you to succeed with Cs, then it probably isn't worth it anyway.

^^^But depending on what interview, in some cases you will need good grades to even have a seat in that room

even if you don't study just showing up is some effort, just procrastinating the assignments is still some effort, winging the exams is still some effort.  That's what I did.  The people that put 0 effort never showed up and failed out

This so much

I can talk as much **** as i want now since I just graduated. But that was me my entire college career

And i easily had 3.0+

I just finished with a 4.0

Like I said before it kind of just depends on what you study etc.

Some majors you might be able to do that but some you definitely can't.

word. This only works for sociology degree or art degree students that can BS their way through papers and exams. No possible way to coast through an anatomy&physiology course or biochem or organic chemistry or any of the sciences. Plus going for a program where 1000+ students apply and they only accept 100 students..........you BEST believe 900 3.9gpa and below students are getting the boot.

Dudes living through that episode where will solved that rubix cube and got into bel air academy

This. Exactly why I'm aiming for a 4.0 as a biotech major. It's either A's or bust.
