Why does Magna Carta get so much hate?

Other than Picasso Baby and the joint with JT that got played to death and ****withmeyouknowigotit, the album was buns

It wasn't horrible, just very forgettable.  And like someone up there said it's become en vogue to **** on Jay Z so much of the criticism comes from a biased place.

Hating on jay z is like a thing now.

Def not his best...but imagine if this was a new artists FIRST album.

But it's not an artists first album.

It's an artist's 12th album.

A lot of the criticism comes from knowing what he is capable of and the product not matching his skill set

Hes not making music for the same people anymore tho.

Idk tho im probably wrong i havent eem heard the album lol.

I give jay z props for being 45 still doin it.

Nas too.

The best song was less than a minute long tho. And the 2nd best track was beat to death by radio. Only song still in my library I'd crown

Jay-Z is held to a higher standard.

Album was just ok. The ads for the album had people hyped too.

It's crazy bc this joint was better then 85% of the albums put out that year. It's the cool thing to do.

I really liked this album when it came out, but it has no replay value now.

Crown tho....

And don't act like "Twerk Miley Miley Twerk" wasn't great. The album was still top 10 rap releases in 2013.

exactly album had way too much hype to be anything less than classic. You were guaranteed to see that damn commercial everyday about 3 times or hear about it on the radio.  All these producers, and jam sessions y'all talkin bout just for that. he needs a roadhouse kick....straight to the nuts

On the Run Pt. II :pimp: :pimp:

Cruisin' down the highway with the drop top...ride or die by your side :pimp:

Album wasn't bad at all. It ain't his best work but it was a good lil summer joint that had the whips and clubs rockin' that summer. I definitely can't call it "trash".

- Preciate it.

I always laugh when people make that Beach is Better comment. No way anyone really thinks a 56 second song is a best song purely based off a beat. That is just ridiculous
