Boycotting won't do anything. I know you gotta hurt their wallets but studios will always try to remake stuff because it's easy. We'll keep getting crap like the total recall remake and robocop. Plus like someone said above, they're aiming for new audiences not the ones who liked the original.

i understand. but studios are just ODing on remakes. i read the threads on here about remakes and all that and people are continuously raving about how good it's going to be only be disappointed, by then the studios already got your money.
they can't come up with anything original. the more people flock to the theaters like sheep the more they continue to pump out garbage. i know i'm by myself when i say this because i hardly ever go to the theater. so it's not that hard for me to resist watching a movie at the theater.

i clearly remember the robocop one was getting good praise before it came out. there were a couple more but i can't pinpoint it at the moment. but hey it's cool. i'm not that mad, studios going to studios
