Well, I always jack up the Loose Ball and Over the Ball Fouls. And turn down passing accuracy 2 clicks because I never feel like there are enough unforced turnovers in these games.

One time I played lakers vs magic (me) and my opponent literally ran from my ball handler. All he did was force everything with Kobe or Nick Young on offense, then switch to the farthest player from the ball on defense :smh:

He gets on the mic to talk his bs when he's up by 10 at halftime and tells me I suck, I'm not on his level blah blah...

Asked him if you're so great why are you running away from the ball every time on defense? He tells me how it's not worth it to play defense on me and that he's playing a strategy  I laugh and told him you don't want to play d because YOU can't stop the ball handler.

This dude starts defending to prove me wrong for three straight possession before going back to his "strategy" because I had him jumping every where. Finally I got off the mic since he wasn't going to play 100% of the game and was getting annoying since he kept repeating the same bs on the mic

I'M GLAD I DIDN'T QUIT.......

His mom came into to the room to tell him to clean up his room and he told her he'd do it later. Dammmnnn his mom got real pissed off and started saying how she'll kick his *** if he doesn't get off the damn game and clean it up (word for word) he must've forgotten he was still on the mic and started arguing with her....

I got back on the mic laughing my *** off and told him to go clean up his room then to go wash his ***

Finally he pauses the game and never came back

He was old because he had a deep *** voice and seemed somewhat mature when we were talking about the game.

Wish I had recorded it. Funniest shh I've witnessed online

I will tomorrow. Once these games go off I'm headed to bed. I'm also going to try the freelance with a couple of teams that rely heavily on ball movement to see if it was just the squad I was using (HOU).

If I still have trouble, I'll probably just stick to my playbook after testing them out for whichever team I play with. Sometimes I like using the "automatic playcall" function for a quarter as well.

Do you have it set to "space the floor" or "motion"? To really unlock the movement you've gotta set it to "freelance action" or whatever it's called. Especially if you're running the Rocket offense, you should at the very least get a bunch of pick and rolls. It also helps to put PlayVision on Full + All Plays so you can see what's going on.

Also seeing how the offense is lined up helps. They line up differently sometimes. If they're lined up a certain way, a pass to the strong side or weak side should trigger similar actions every time. Did you have success with it in 2K15??

For someone who knows so much about the game, DC might be the most unhelpful dude ever. "It's only Day 66" "Hit practice mode for 7 hours" "You'll eventually get better" None of this is helpful

I have it on "freelance actions". I also learned from the video to turn my Playvision on All Plays. However, I don't have it on "Full", I have it on "Lite". I will make that adjustment when I get on tomorrow as well. I did have more success using it in 2k15, which is kinda weird I'm not getting it down in 2k16.

Now, the question is do you guys have it on "Default" for half court or the specific half court strategy for that team? From the video, I got that the freelance actions automatically makes the team run their half court offense.

.....But can I sell my game back and get my lil 35 bucks now that we don't need the CD to play? I'm scared I'll sell it and it'll update and require the disc to update [emoji]128557[/emoji][emoji]128557[/emoji][emoji]128557[/emoji]

Haven't been able to dive into 2K16 as much as last year so I can't say for sure. According to Czar, "Motion" might work better than "Freelance" - which is different from last year. Last year, I always took it off default and set it up to whatever I wanted. Seemed like every team used 3-2 unless I manually changed it.

lmaoo I don't know anyone else with a disc too (in my area). But that's $35 worth of credit...That's $35 worth of $35 *Julius voice* View media item 1733045

substitutions piss me the f off. I'm literally the only one balling. 39 with 4 minutes left. just hit 3-3s to bring it within 3, been down the whole game. coach pulls me

puts me back in with 1:20 left, we're down 11

I get us back within 5 with 23 seconds to go, then I fight to get open and as i'm getting open, my teammate jacks up a shot... .....da **** b. I did everything that game and we still lost.

very next game I spaz again for 48. and we win by 40. everybody was clicking that game though and they played some damn defense.

the game is very rewarding when you play d.

Practice is VERY helpful though, not sure why you are dismissing that answer. Everything you asked can be improved upon through practice mode. Scrimmage mode.

I directed you to a developer breaking down Freelance. No need for me to reinvent the wheel. He tells you everything you need to know and he also says, practice practice practice. So outside of what I said not sure what else you want me to do other than teleport to your house and use your controller for you.

So you crying about the game being too hard 5 days ago was just you being a prisoner of the moment, like I anticipated. Now you are averaging damn near 30, patience.

RE: Missed Paint shots (I post this on OS)

And another thing that people fail to understand, you can't compare the type of traffic IRL to the proximity traffic of NBA 2K.

IRL, peoples arms are going in all types of directions to contest shots/layups.

In the game, arms don't have that much "flexibility" so that is why proximity defense (which lowers shot %) was put in place.

So while you might think you are "wide open" you aren't because you are a foot away from someone that, IRL would put their hands and arms up to cloud your vision.

So again, for those of you complaining about misses, please post videos.

Or better yet, TRACK your contested layups in a spreadsheet so you can actually see how many contested shots you are making vs. missing. Because if you "believe" you are missing too many, you will subconsciously inflate that number when you come on the forums complaining about it.

Now the game suddenly needs the disc to play [emoji]128546[/emoji][emoji]128546[/emoji]

How do I do directional passing? So many times I point in direction to pass and it REFUSES to pass there and passes to someone completely different. Some times I can't remember who is what button on the fly, man.

Do I need to increase passing vision?

I disagree with DC as much as anyone but honestly practice has helped me a ton this year between that and good shot selection I'm able to drop buckets.

There is a greater emphasis this year on taking good shots in the flow of your teams offense, just like everybody else i was used to being able to do whatever i want but it's actually been more fun and rewarding this year, when I score 30+ in myplayer I'm hype because I know it came from putting in real work not because i could just throw up whatever i wanted and it's going in because my guys rating is high.

Still dont agree with how they worked the caps but thats really my only major gripe.

So many steals cause the game passes to someone in California rather than the COMPLETELY OPEN DUDE I'm pointing my L stick in the direction of. Gets me so pissed.

Idk if I'm bugging or not but it's been that way for a while. Anyone else care to chime in? :nerd:

That vc glitch is money. Along with the attribute upgrade from practices. I see alot of garbage dudes radted high though

Do yo have to be out of your Rookie season in order to do it? Tried doing it last night before I returned the rental but it never worked.
