No lead passing? Wut
I wanna pick a player and direct him somewhere. 2k6 had it. Why doesn't 2k15
This game has been toilet level ever since 2k11

Lol go play 2k11 and see how garbage it is compared to 2k15

It's so stiff and way more cheesing.

lead pass is still in the game. you can either use the off ball offense to control the player, or you can use the lb/l1 button to select which player you want to pass to. before you press the button you move the joystick to where you want to lead them. i use it whenever i run the break to have players fill in the lane, or when i want to swing the ball out around the perimeter for spacing etc. it is similar to 2k11 but not as good imo.

Last year was too tight though. Was damn near impossible to hit the roll man without a lob pass or an alley oop. It was wayyyyy easier to tic-tac-toe it or just hit the open man on the opposite side. I'm all for it being hard but all of the options need to be hard then.
This is the issue with 2K. For YEARS, they had a lot of unrealistic aspects of basketball in the game. 2K8 had a very unrealistic lead pass out of the pNr situation that made me want to fight people when it was done to me. So when they make things a little more realistic, people honestly don't know how to handle it and they want some leeway.

PnR was tight, but, with skill (not saying you don't have it), you could really work some magic. Stuff should be able to be mastered by all.

How much time did you spend in practice mode getting your pNr game right? Because I play with player lock, usually as the PG, and I find myself fairly successful in the pNr. Hitting the roll man shouldn't be an easy thing at all.

You are speaking about what was known as "DUal Player Control." I agree, I miss that feature from the 2K games

Basically you could highlight an off-ball player (his circle would become green) and you could give him one of 4 commands.

Post Up

Cut

Set Screen

? (I forget the last one)

But again, I loved that feature

still wish they would stop using money for these curated soundtracks and use it instead for an official TNT broadcast presentation. |I

Need back NBDL and multi team trades in franchise mode. Edit headband option. In game energy meter. Remove that invisible rubber band effect where all of a sudden you'll start missing every shot and the CPU either makes a run to pull away or comes back and wins. It's so obvious too when it does happen. There's so many little things that need corrected seriously.

My dumbest error happened a couple of days ago. I'm Denver, up 3-1 in the first round versus Clippers. Game is tied at 130 after I just hit a layup thinking yes, I can force OT if I D up. 10 seconds left and LA has final possession. CP3 dishes to JSmoove for a baseline jumper, he misses it and I grab the rebound and use quick timeout shortcut. .06 left on the clock. Except I had no more timeouts left. I was such in a rush and focusing on defending and grabbing the rebound I mistakenly assumed my peripheral vision was correct in seeing 1 yellow bar left on the bottom right corner except it was LA's. Got called for an excessive timeouts technical and CP3 hits the FT, I lose 131 to 130. I was pissed at myself because I was already hoping I could rest my players for the next round since I had a chance at an OT closeout. :smh:  Cwebb and Blatt would be proud. :pimp:

1. Never was a fan of the VC, but people like it and spend $ to get VC so I don't blame 2K

2. D-League is back this year. To which extent, we will see soon.

3. Not sure about multi-team trades.

4. Rubberband-AI: Long time 2K argument. I personally don't see it but I won't tell you that you don't see it either. But I think you have to play super cautious, using timeouts, making subs, make adjustments throughout the game. And I know personally, that many people don't do that. (Not saying you don't).

I would read through this

Some thoughts on the topic

I also think there is some system that lets people back in games even in online ranked. obviously i can't say for a fact but I've played long enough and have always had a suspicion. doubt they'll remove it cuz it makes games exciting, but i agree with what DCAllAmerican said about what you should do if it happens.

DC and the team at OS, major props for the incredible roster file. :pimp:

And for some reason like the other people have mentioned on OS, the Raptors are unstoppable in franchise mode :wow:. I also noticed that the Thunder when healthy are just like the Raptors too. They both give me some of the most intense, challenging, and sometimes cheap games even though my starting lineup consists of Wall, Beal, rookie, AD, Drummond. Bench: 4 rookies, HBarnes, Speights, Manu, Augustine.

Anyway just remembered a couple more:

- CPU knowing if the shot is going in or not already. The CPU PF and C will grab prime position, box out hard and attempt to jump if the shot is missing, but if the shot is going in they do no such thing, just stand there watching the ball, and will only look like boxing out if you engage them and they are already slowly getting out of position to start heading back. This has been a problem since the beginning though. :x

- Can never ever do quick throw-ins like what CP3 likes to do, catch the defense off guard. You are always prevented by either a player that fell and needs to stand up so his animation needs to go before you can inbounds, or the ball bouncing out of screen i.e. the crowd, and your dude casually strolling to pick it up and then inbounds from a set position, or waiting for the dude's celebration to be partially over to continue or the dude retrieving the ball and making the slowest 180 turn to make the throw in. :smh:

-I turn off instant replay always, but always have it on during the first game when a new 2k releases. They botched it this year. The instant replay always starts mid flight of a layup or dunk, so you'll never see the crossover, the lead pass, or the hockey assist, that led to the damn play.

-EJ and Shaq were a waste of resources and wasted in game. If they really wanted people to listen to them, then they should have kept the audio going even when you decide to alter lineups and defensive settings at the same time.

-I don't know if this happens to anybody else, but I noticed it this year that play will pause because the announcers want to discuss a stat overlay like standings or top 5 leaders in assists at the SF position, and play will not continue until they are done with it. So the ref has the ball the entire time. I guess it's a glitch because I like to keep pressing A when stat overlays pop up so I can get rid of them fast, but every now and then, one overlay will halt play. The screen pans out, but no overlay appears, but the announcers are clearly discussing it. It's so damn weird. Happens at least once or twice a game.

just dont freeze my player anymore in animations when i go for blocks and the game has already decided the cpu is gonna score. that's bs

i really hope they fix the post moves because every year I make a big man and I cant take those moves ive crafted online in the rec/park

2K servers will probably be trash so the pro am mode won't even work. Sounds good and looks even better. But I've been struggling to play h2h without lag ain't no way in hell they gonna get 10 connections to work at once without any troubles.

Yea I wouldn't even put faith in them fixing that.

Why is that?
they recently fixed it towards the end of the game cycle but they use to never call foul in the post and the post moves itself were broken. Idk what they did in the last patch but now i cant miss from the post lol so I aint mad. I just wish they fixed it earlier in the year.

Some screenshots showing off the Raptors' new unis.

NBA 2K's Weekly Twitch Stream Talks Gamescom, NBA 2K16 2K Pro-Am Mode & More

Visual Concepts' Community Managers, Chris Manning and Ronnie Singh, just finished their regular Tuesday Twitch stream. This week, the duo discussed NBA 2K16's plans for Germany's upcoming Gamescom convention, plus they answered several community questions about the recently revealed 2K Pro-Am mode.

If you don't want to watch the entire 47-minute broadcast, here is a summary of the stream:

Notes
  • The 2K Pro-Am mode will have "eSports elements," which will be discussed in more detail at a later date.

  • There won't be any "Got Next" spots in 2K Pro-Am mode, even in the 40-person arena. Ronnie said that all the player icons moving around NBA 2K15's Rec Center were causing the lag in that mode, not the 40-person player load.

  • The developers are making sure that the fill-in AI players on 2K Pro-Am mode will be "mediocre," so that lineups with more human players will always have a competitive advantage.

  • The "ELO" leaderboard system is designed to reward teams who are beating other highly ranked teams. Wins against low-ranked teams won't count as much.

  • 2K's marketing schedule is "really, really close" to releasing NBA 2K16's first gameplay videos. Some screenshots of the cover athletes (James Harden, Stephen Curry, and Anthony Davis) will appear on Facebook tonight at 9:00 PM PST.

  • More of the new historic teams that have been added to NBA 2K16 will be announced later this week. The 1999-2000 Toronto Raptors, 2000-2001 Los Angeles Lakers, and 2007-2008 Boston Celtics have already been revealed.

  • There is no playable NBA 2K16 demo at Gamescom this year. Ronnie's reasoning for this decision was that the gamers attending this conference generally are not NBA fans.

body scans got the players actually looking distinguishable

Lowry's muscle tone looks good, too (pause)

they finally realized not every NBA player is chisled like LeBron
