all those dudes can sing duhh, but mario has baby making crack. so its hard to compare him to others who are more pop.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Lloyd, but I agree with Street Love being the best R&B drop this year. Album was fire. Tank's effort was good, but he's def. in the grown men category.
 
I don't think you can really compare Mario and Chris brown and Omarion. Mario is geared more towards a mature audience now. Chris and Omarion are more for the youngns. Maybe if you compare Mario's first album with Chris brown today, it'd be fair

^Mario was 16 when he first came out.

Chris is 18.

And it's not an age thing... it's a talent thing.

Chris is a dancer with music playing in the background. He doesn't have any musical skill or talent.

That's the difference between even him and Ciara for example. She's a songwriter. Her voice is weak... but she's musically inclined. Which is why she wrote tracks for other artists including Fantasia. Which is why her hamornies and melodies are dope on her records. She actually has musical talent, added to the fact that she is the best dancer in the game.

Chris doesn't. Omarion can be thrown in that category as well.

Dude can sing, but he needs to chill with the vocal acrobatics.
Performance was a little pitchy, but my hat still goes off to him.
You can tell in a few years, this kid will become a monster, Just like Mario, with the proper vocal training, because even when Mario was younger, he had that nasal kinda sound, and as he grew, he learned how to control his voice.

^I gotta disagree wit you. Chris is not gonna get much better.

Mario was a monster from JUMP. His voice was nasally, but hell... it's STILL nasally. He just can control it better.

You remember the vocal jump Usher made from when he first dropped, to when he was 19 and My Way came out.

Mario jumped up to "Let Me Love You" status vocally when he was 18.

Chris is 18.... he hasn't improved vocally or artistically. He just doesn't have a strong voice and he never will.

^ The vocals are hot, but something is annoying about it.

I think it's the simpler parts. When you're sorta talking not really singing, it sounds like you got a whole bunch of speech impediments. No hate.

Mario and CB have been on the up and up lately. I feel like they are gonna be holdin it down for R&B for awhile.
Tank is a beast vocally...Trey songz is a monster, he can do mixtapes like wayne. Lloyd is decent i dont think hes gonna last for awhile.

I was agreeing on you for the most part until you said Chris Brown could not sing. I really think CB is leading the game now, he's still young and not really gone into his prime yet. His sales are going to go even higher when he starts talkin' bout knockin' boots in his songs. Ne-Yo is good too, not really much of a fan of his, but his track record is :wow:

^^Nah man, I am not just talking about Vocals, but over all performance and everything. This man Acts/Sings/Dances and is actually a cool dude in person. Mario is good, but ya'll making him out to be like the mike jordan of RnB. I actually will give him benefit of being better than O singing wise I guess, but he's not better than CB by any means. The only songs I like by Mario are "Go" of course, because the Neptunes are monsters, and "Baby come on" which was hot. Why do you guys feel like he excells on Omarion so much? They showin this man no love :lol:

^ But we're talking about vocal wise. His voice has matured and is 100 times past the level that Omarion and CHris Brown has. Those two have the whiniest of voices. Omarion still has that voice as if he barely hitting puberty. Same goes with Chris Brown, but then again he's still young.

Performance wise, I do agree with you, but the vocal skills for those other two isn't touching Mario. That's where I agree with others on how Mario is underrated.

I stopped reading after that.

Who cares about performance. Voices are what stand the test of time. No one is going to remember a specific performance or routine an artist does for a video or live unless he's Michael Jackson. MJ reinvented the whole genre. He was original and came up with new material. That's why he's the only true performer we all remember and imitate.
