what's something u silently judge people for vol....u just gonna let ya baby cry wen im watchin dis

I have no respect for people complaining about sky rocketing rent prices due to gentrification. Fact of the matter is you are not entitled to live in your favorite city. Go learn a skill so you can afford to live there instead of leeching off rent control. It's not your land to be controlling the price of anyway.

Controversial opinion but I give no dambs

Eh, the older people I tend to not be so hard on but Gen X and younger, I feel the same way.

Whys that? Just asking.

To me that **** is like saying "I cant afford a mclaren, they need to cap prices of those cars to 65k". If you are complaining that you can't afford to live in Harlem, Bushwick, etc anymore just off yourself. If someone is willing to pay more than you then tough ******* luck

Justifying a ceiling on rent prices is a stupid train of thought. Simply no way to do it.

Entitled *** children thinking NY and LA owes it to them to be cheap :smh:

Because a lot of older people really can't afford increased prices in living. You have minorities who never really got the chance to build the 401k, become manager and make decent money, etc. so you can't expect them to have money to fall back on. Many older folks are on a fixed income and have to budget crazily in order to survive. If you notice, most older folks aint beggin to lower the rent, they're paying what thye're paying but can't take a rent increase.

Now the Gen X and younger generations is a different story, if you are of sound mind and body, you gotta get up, get out and get something. Unless you're bound caring for a loved one, u have no excuse as to why you can't strive for better. Your lack of a go-getter attitude isn't the next man's problem.

And a McLaren isn't a necessity like housing is so that's apples to oranges.

Makes sense.

It was an exaggeration but still the point stands. Can't afford NY then move to Jersey or Long Island and commute, like everyone else who dosent want to do that ****. Barring special exemptions like having to live close to a hospital that has one of the only doctors specialized in a field or treatment that you need or being blind making living outside of a city borderline impossible or something.

So, what do the older folks do? What about the ones that need to live close to the doctor but is being pushed further out to Jersey? You're looking at all victims of gentrification as if they are cookie cutter victims. Different experiences and backgrounds.

And I know you were exaggeratin, I was just bustin ya chops.

Did you read the post that you quoted  I specifically said if you need to live close to a specific doctor you are an exemption. Or if you are blind or something. Either way exemptions would be less than 2% of the population. People who can't afford rent at market prices because they majored in liberal arts mad a conscious decision to be poor and shouldn't be subsidized. People born into poor families... well that sucks but the world doesn't revolve around you. Life ain't fair.

Not very one but it seems to me like a decent portion of those using rent control couldn't even survive if it wasn't for the laws coddling them :smh:

What does it matter? If you think I am some 14 year old running his mouth because mommy and daddy pay for everything keep dreaming.

Everyone keep calm. Sunshineblotters is just mad he ruined his sbb with that fragment logo. Then threw his back out trying to take pictures

You're another one....

Leave!!!!

Because you seem really ignorant of how complex an issue it really is, and appear have a very shallow and selfish mindset. Both normally indicate someone is pretty young.

I champion for the underprivileged on almost everything else. Think it's a buck of ***** trying to cut funding on programs like food stamps and such. But subsidizng you not living where YOU want to live is where I draw the line. This is coming from someone who thinks we should tax all those millionaires buying 3 or 4 houses that they aren't using thus artificially decreasing supply and increasing rent cost. Especially if they are not from the country they are buying the houses in.

I don't even know what you are talking about but kindly post a link whatever it is. Sbb? Shattered backboards? I took one pic and put it back in the box.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's one of those things where an idiot incorrectly edited his quote boxes.

But if you are going to bring something from a different thread in here at least make sure it's something I did

People who make unnecessary observations to no one in particular, dry begging for conversations.

Ex. In the breakroom

Colleague: "Wow, something smells good!"
Me: " "

Ex. In the cafeteria

Colleague: "I can never decide what to get!"
Me: " "

People who try to talk when you clearly have headphones on are judged exponentially.

No. This is just YOU being socially awkward.

when people care more about their pets than their kids, even if their kids are in their teens.

People who struggle with one child financially, only to have more children, with no way to provide for them.

strong this.

Dirty shoe laces, posture , shooting mechanics (ball is life) , handshakes and eye contact

good point about eye contact when shaking hands. a ugly shot irks the hell out of me, but i don't see it often.

my additions...people who don't say thank you when i hold the door open for them, that annoys the **** out of me, but its my nature to be courteous.

o yea almost forgot...eating with mouth open/or loud eating i guess. was guilty of this when i was very little and i remember my mom nagging etiquette into me so its natural but some people didn't raise their kids strict enough idk.

You're right that wasn't you. I stand corrected
