Same here. I came in here thinking wow it aint that serious. I walked home and stayed there alone for 2ish hours when i was in 2nd grade

Not saying she was tight, cause she was super wrong... But this has happened to me before... When I lived in Rhode Island, my mom left to go to Vermont for the weekend... I was 10 at the time... Left me microwave food and money for pizza delivery... Played baseball with friends and enjoyed the weekend by myself 
... I was perfectly fine...
Granted, I cut that ***** outta my life years ago...

Since the child had a cell phone, I would have called the mother and said "Come get your son, before ish gets real". When she arrived, I would have told her about herself. Now there's the possibility of the family being broken up, by way of prison or child services. I wouldn't have called the police right off the bat.
