How many people picked up a raffle for these today at Mercer? There was no line when I passed by so I ducked in for a ticket. Anticipated a crowd but was in and out in under five minutes.

While the pack looks nicer than most of the other stuff they've been putting out, $700 is ridiculous and is getting out of hand.. I'd love to see these sit, but I doubt that happens although I also doubt resell on these will be that great/high compared to others..

the 1's are super dope and the 29s are the 1st well executed shoe of that model imo.
this pack is very nice, but not anywhere near $700 nice. that being said, i will not be copping.

I don't understand why people complain about high priced AND regular priced sneakers (that get scooped up by resellers).. If Nike produced greater quantity shoes and sold them for $150-$180, they would literally kill their own hype. At least with high retail priced shoes, you not only are able to cop-the money you spend goes to Nike and not some reseller... If Chicago 1s had a $350-$400 retail price, they would've been MUCH easier to cop because profit margins would've been a lot smaller for resellers.
This is just my opinion but I'd rather pay a high retail price rather than a righ resale price.

Most likely.. If they dropped a limited AJ XI/I pack, they could probably get closer to $1000. Insane if you think about it-bad for resellers, good for Nike/JB and either good/bad for the customer (depending on how you look at it because it woll make shoes easier to get but more expensive).

Took a close look at these in Paris during the Quai 54 tournament.
Honestly, I can't understand the price difference. To me, the 1s looked like another version of those terrible 1LAB4 releases. The 29s had some nice material on them, but this is all.

Depends, are you willing to pay $400-500 for those MTM 1s? I highly doubt you can sell the XX9s for more than $200...

Also at $250-$300/pair retail, people would start to become more selective about what shoes they buy. I think Nike is slowly trying this with the XIs to see where people are gonna stop biting (they're also being VERY careful with the price increases). I bet if Space Jam XIs retro next year retail will be $250 or around that amount.

Nice pairs, just not worth $700. I mean let's think about it mathematically.
Air Jordan 1 retail- $160
Air Jordan XX9 retail- $225
That's $385, Jordan 1s and 29s don't retail at $350 each.
The price is ridiculous, but they're both nice pairs.
