Nike Hyperrev 2016

My initial impression is that I'm feeling them but I'd have to see more angles before i pass my official verdict

Anybody have pics of the Bradley Beal PEs coming out next week? Can't find any pics on google but the shoe is on FTL launch locator

Saw and felt these up in person today. Didnt try them on but mannnnnn theyre soft and seem hella comfy. The padding around he heel area is so thick

Just picked up the red hyperrev 2016 and I'm pretty excited to try them on court tomorrow. I have some initial thoughts and comparisons, and will mostly be comparing them the the original hyperrevs, which still are probably my top 3 favourite shoes to ball in. I didn't try the 2015s, but from what I've read in reviews, these seem to be right in between the two.

The traction seems okay. It is worlds better than the 2014, which got dusty very quickly. There's a tread that comes up right to the toe, and it feels like you can get a nice little extra push sprinting.

The materials are great in my opinion. Very sturdy, the mesh is used well, ect. Compared to the sock like feel of the originals, it definitely won't tear up with a lot of usage. I wish they hadn't gone as intense with the toe box protection because I like feeling a little give to that area when I move my toes, but that's just a personal preference and why I really love playing in the originals.

The cushioning is a little stiff compared to the originals, but those shoes are in a league of their own in my opinion without compromising court feel but still maintaining amazing standing comfort. The 2016s feel great in terms of responsiveness, but you definitely sacrifice a bit of the court feel. I feel much taller in them and the zoom kicks in when on the move. I'm hoping the unlock a little bit after a few games though because it's not as plush or bouncy as the originals. But about a million times better than the Kyrie 2s, which were the pair I was considering instead of these. You definitely won't be lacking comfort in these, especially while running.

Lockdown. Oh the lockdown. It's probably one of the better fits of the recent shoes I've bought. Though I have bought a lot of Adidas. I went TTS and the shoe keeps me firmly in place. Again, there is a lot more stiffness, especially at the toe box, which I will hopefully work in over the next few weeks. They're shaped very similarly to the originals, but because they use fuse on the lateral side of the shoes, it could be considered slightly more narrow. Nowhere on the level of the Kyrie 1s, but if needed you could go a half size up. I definitely recommend it if you're wearing them casually, but would say you can stick TTS strictly for basketball.

Oh, that damn bootie. The use of the mesh around and above the ankle actually makes no sense to me. It doesn't really provide anything outside of possible chafe protection when wearing low cut socks, unlike the originals which had the strap for slight ankle protection. It's kind of a pain to put on but I can live with it.

Overall I'm very excited to play with them. The shoe does everything well in my opinion. I like them more than the Kyrie's outside of the traction and the hyperrevs still keep the crown for the best non-player shoes. Unless they do something special with the hyperdunks this year, I think that'll stay true until 2017.
