Nike Hyperrev 2016

If you don't mind, could you post a picture of your set up?
I actually did two things on mine, a combination of this lacing and another one for wide footers and tbh, on my feet the laces are only needed to hold the ankle/heel in place, otherwise it would be perfect even laceless! Here is the pic of my setup: https://goo.gl/photos/faFUe6K4UgsVsFGm8  . It looks kinda messy, but in fact it is very simple. I skipped the first loop on the toe side to avoid pressure on this region, and then, instead of cross-lacing, I parallel laced the 2nd and 3rd loops to further relieve the pressure on my forefoot. The next one, i regularly crossed and then I did what I previously linke. Google 'alternative shoe lacing'  or 'shoe lacing heel lockdown'  and there is plenty of info on a bunch of runners websites and IIRC even something on Footlocker's website. It is way easier than it sounds. Hope it helps.

Sounds like these are the most cushioned of the line. How is the court feel vs the 2014 or the rose 6? The 2015 was low and perfect imo

court feel is great not as bouncy as the 2014 and Drose 6 but definitely better than last years Hyperrev model imo, just the perfect balance of cushion and court feel

good to know. All the talk about the cushion got me a little worried. This line has been great so far. These are sale pick ups eventually but the lower retail price is even better

Hey guys, I have some questions for the first Hyperrevs. I saw someone selling his pair on facebook for dirt cheap. He said he played in them only once on a wooden floor.

1. Is the traction great?

2. Do they go TTS?

3. I've read that some people were complaining that the strap doesn’t go all the way around. Is it true?

Thanks guys lol

traction on the 2014 is not great but still wearable on decent courts. I stay away from those on rainy days. TTS with some room. Some might prefer half size down.. I had no problems with the strap but it doesnt really matter cuz the support is minimal.

a bunch of cw are on sale right now on NDC

Traction on the first Rev is good on clean courts.

I would say .5 down, or if you're between sizes go with the smaller size.  I went "TTS" and I need to double sock with an extremely thick sock to fill out the shoe.

Strap goes all the way around for me, no problems.

If these weren't fairly priced to begin with :smokin

Competitive market FTW

Now we just need lower retail prices for the Kobe XII, LeBron IV & Jordan XXI

What's the consensus on sizing?

Most reviews said TTS, but they said the same about the first Revs and I needed .5 down in those.

Deezy, I stayed tts and love the feel, but I also stayed tts on the 1. They fit the same to me, so go half down.

Thanks Duke.  I remember trying on .5 down for the 1 and they were a pain to get on, so that's probably going to be true for the 2016.

I went tts. My first pair of hyperrevs. Tried them on at home and experienced veryyyyyy minimal heel slip. I wasn't able to pull off the shoe when it was tied like the sole bros. I don't see heel slip being an issue with these at all. I was expecting worse tbh based on some reviews. The new colors are permanently $90 so very competitively priced...cheaper than the d Lillards now. Also, the old color ways are listed as $110 but discounted to $90 on clearance, meaning when Nike coupons for an extra 20% off clearance items come around, these would be a steal.

There is a reason for that. Won't say any more, but you can guess.

Looks like nike increased the price back up to $110 for the new colorways on the hyperrevs.

They pushed them back up to $110

... had a $20 coupon ready to go too

Not being petty again? Lol

No, not at all. If you want entertainment, they are great for that. If you want a performance review, then weartesters.com is the only place you should go.

And no, as far as technical aspects and knowledge, they are in no way greater than NYJ. To each their own.
