I think the Air Jordan 4 might be the furthest Retro from its OG at this point.

They're excellent, however, the overall shape is nowhere near OG 4s.  Would love to talk to someone at JB and ask them why they don't try to get the OG shape back.  I don't expect perfection, however, it's so far off, it's as though they're not trying.  They're deliberately choosing a different shape.  Mind you, the OG tongues where not shaped nicely at the top...kind of jagged...but overall, they haven't improved it...just changed it.

I'll try and get the WC but the shape on 4's are terrible
 
You're right...unfortunately.  I think if I get these I'll quit for 15 years and enjoy wearing down the collection I have.
 
I hope you all realize Nike will never do those old toe box shape again. The reason they have rounded toe box now is to give your toes more room, so it's better for our foot. Same reason they stared doing U shape heel instead of the V shape at the collars.

Never had OGs but 99s were 10x more comfortable than 04+. They had more plush padding throughout the construction of the shoe and used the squishy thick insoles found in Old XIs and Vs.
 
why is it that all the wings on retros past 99 are lowered and placed closer to the midsole? I like them raised more to the top of the shoe it makes it look 1000x better doesn't look like it will happen on the cements tho
