Basically. There's nothing about these to justify buyig another pair when my 2012s are still in great condition .

There is absolutelty no reason for JB to have made a new mold for these.

They will sell out and that's all they care about.

They coudve even made a new mold that's worse then what we currently have, and it would still sell out.
Until y'all learn to practice self control and they're sales take a hit. Nothing is going to change.

Going to try for these @ retail regardless. Won't pay a red cent over. Needless to say if I don't get any raffle call backs I won't be as disappointed, especially since I still have a 2012 pair on ice. Was going to try and sell those leading up to the release but I think I'll keep them as insurance.

But the UNCs had preorders at the same price and didn't have too much hype. Maybe these will be the same?
 
Yes we all get it, the demand will always make these shoes sell, doesn't mean I'm going to stop complaining. JB and Nike have the ability to make their shoes exactly the way they were made back then, but they won't because it would probably cost an extra few bucks. I get it. But trust me I won't be buying these because they are a humongous let down especially for a shoe that is now $50 more than it was 3 years ago and there's zero remastering except or adding Nike Air on the back. FOH!

Great minds think alike. I too have a pair of '12s on ice, but will also try for these. My 99s are on its last legs...
 
Really wanted the lighter shade of grey and and improved toebox. But what's new smh. I trashed my 2012s so I will be copping but I expected better
 
SMH at the "lol, remastered" comments. Do people even know what remastered means? It does not mean "exactly like OG". It means "better than what we've been giving you".  The sooner people understand that, the sooner they can have some realistic expectations. Then decide whether you still want to roll with JB or not.

no it doesn't my brotha. Remastered in the real world actually means:ancing the quality of the sound or of the image, or both, of previously created recordings, either audiophonic, cinematic, or videographic.

I got a remastered star wars return of the Jedi DVD and that **** looked 100x BETTER than the original. (Same with the DBZ DVD)

JB has tricked most of y'all into believing remaster means better crap than the crap you got last year. It's not even" as close as possible " as they originally said. The Aqua 8s are remastered, the Bordeaux's are remastered( they changed the 7s shake as a while to get back to the OG), the Oreo 4s and UNC 1s are remastered, these are not. Grey is still off, shape is way off from 1989,1999, and even 2004 pairs of the shoe and leather looks okay at best. Don't be a sheep.

When you think about remastered think about how much they put into the 1 compared to everything else. And don't give me that, it's the 30 the anniversary, 1s are a simple silhouette, or 1s are 1s BS.

Remastered ended up meaning "price increase". Apparently you don't know what remastered means, when this whole plan originally rolled out, JB claimed that they would be changing things and trying to get as close to the OG sneaker as possible.


From the Sole Collector Interview with David Schecter:

What are the first models that we’ll see this remastered approach with, and why were those models chosen?
DS: The main models for the season will be around 7s, 4,s and 10s. That’s the way that Jeff planned the line, and that’s what we ended up doing. But everything that comes into the line from that moment forward will be in that remastered sense. There’s a couple other things that we’ve got cooking, but those are the key models for the season that we’ll kick this thing off with. … Whether it’s a new color, or whether it’s an OG color, it’s about getting it as close to the original form as we possibly can.

Now, a lot of us here never believed these claims, but the fact is, this whole remaster thing has for the most part just been a cash grab. So, realistically, we all got short changed. And the sooner people realize this, and tell JB how they feel using their WALLETS, the sooner we can get the quality we want out of the shoes we love.

Glad I'm saving my money. These are no different than my cements from a few years ago minus the Nike Air. Give me a real reason so spend the extra money.

GOD!!! The shape is ATROCIOUS!!! It's worse than the 2012's, it looks like a low top. Everything is off, the heel tab, color of the cement... But the overall height, shape and the super Chiquta toe box is just ugh! I'm honestly disgusted.

15 years ago these small details would have bothered me. Now, doesn't really mean much. There's enough there to provide nostalgia and a walk down memory lane which is why I buy these, I'm in.

Those could very well be fakes, I would wait til we see an official picture.
 
At this point it's like JB really wants me to keep my $220.

They know good and damn well this trash is unacceptable to most of us who care what we're getting in return for the price of admission smh.
 
I had a fake pair of these that I bought in 2004 that were spot on. I mean to the point where I'd walk into sneaker boutiques and people would compliment on my '99's. You're telling me that a knock off factory in China can get it right but JB can't. Please. They just never will do that again. Every retro made in the 90's was damn near exact. Now these are so far off it's embarrassing. I mean I know why they call it remaster is because they really fell off the wagon 5 or so years ago like my man said with the white/red 6's. The leather on those were legit plastic. I've never felt a worse made shoe. So now they've stepped up from rock bottom and are calling it remastered. That's where my complaint is.
 
I believe half of you guys that say you're not going to secure these or $220 (might be less) saved are going to end up securing.  Guys lets be true to ourselves and say we all are going to at least attempt or secure them.  Stop with all the dishonesty.
