Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro "White/Cement" - The Aftermath - NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING

Not even close to GS 99s.

to be honest, the 99 pair looked pretty different from the OGs. the color and speckle patterns were completely different

People complain about retros not properly portraying the originals, but don't even know what the originals were like so when they get what they've demanded they don't even know they've gotten it.

Then compare a remastered pair meant to be truer to the OG to the last retro of said shoe they were trashing before this one.

It's incredible. People will never be satisfied. Ever. There's always going to be a portion of the crowd that finds SOMETHING to whine about. Next we'll be complaining about the embossing of the details on the heel tab.

The font of air looks off on the 2016 pair the
A. I. R is spread out a bit farther then the og.. Just and observation [emoji]128064[/emoji][emoji]128064[/emoji]

I just dont get why they refuse to fix the netting. And the speckling needs to be alot more plentiful and denser

The text overall is much larger. And yeah the air is def more spaced. But its been lk that for a min. I think the 88s were spread too

Yea I noticed that too... Still not as aesthetically pleasing as having it closer together, not a big deal, but a silly change...I know they have to differentiate the shoes but why not just sew the year they were made in the sock liner I'm sure that'd appease collectors

Im convinced it's not to appease collectors at this point. They've proven several times they dont care. I think they legitimately do it for their own unspecified reasons.

Yea you may be right just seems silly to me... Definitely lessens the nostalgia feels... Still need to see a men's size so I can make a real judgement that leather is looking 2012 suspect on that GS size hopefully the come with the chi 1 quality on this pair, or at minimum nothing less than the pre grape 5's quality

I think they do it so they can inch closer and closer to the OG, so they can continue to sell the same shoes over and over again for years and years.

The mesh is really the sad part.  The mesh angle used to be the first sign of a fake; now authentics look like those fakes used to.  If you're going to remaster the 4, getting the mesh right would seem to be the easiest piece to fix (compared to the overall shape).  Would love to hear from JB why they chose not to address that; it's certainly something that's impossible not to know exists as a problem.

At some point this won't work. Look at the Bordeaux VII's and how many people passed because the differences between the 2015's and 2011 release weren't enough to warrant a new purchase.

isnt this retro suppose to be close at the FIRST OG pair that released NOT the OG retro of 1999 that's why they 88 right so they could make as close to the 88 version if they wanted to make it close to the 99 it would've have said 99 but ya complaining about it when you guys don't even know there keeping it close to the 88 model
