Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro "White/Cement" - The Aftermath - NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING

I pointed out that the 7s that were original colorways were being released with nike branding while the retro+ were not and stuck to jumpman branding. I said that in a 7 thread and ppl were like "oh yea they put nike air on the insole, big whoop"

I said the same thing. But insole vs a heel tab. Big difference. Nike could push garbage with a Nike tab. Same cant be done with the insole. Martians would've still sat with a Nike insole.

But I hope we're right and they keep it OG only, and just let the 1s do there thing.

Could you imagine joker 3s with NA ?? Disgusting. Just the thought of teeny boppers and hypebeasts clamoring and losing their minds over an extra $30 on resale is sickening.

Im interested in why everyone likes this specific model?

For me, Do The Right Thing was the biggest influence in my interest in this sneaker. This is the only Air Jordan 4 that really speaks to me in different levels. I love the Nike because of how big it is on the heel and how vintage it makes Jordans look. The FIre Red Colorway and Blue colorways never caught my eye on the 3s ,4s , Grape 5s and Carmines (DONT SHOOT')

Why does everyone like these? Is there anyone who likes for a specific reason?(Besides hype for "some")

Because its the neat and simplistic. The white upper gives it a crisp clean look, the grey with the speckles makes it pop, but not too over the top. The black compliments as a contrast to the white.

These, and the Blk/Cement 4s along with the Wht & Black Cement 3s are just timeless, simple yet stricking, and beautifully designed.

Those four along with Blk/Red 1s are all I need. Everything else is just because.

^ This, not only are these aesthetically pleasing, a lot of us remember having these as kids. When I think of an "Air Jordan" this is one of the shoes that come to mind.

It's almost a no brainier as to why everyone likes these. Classic, timeless silhouette that embodies everything that is "Air Jordan" as we no it. Especially with the NA on the heel. Hoping for nice leather on these.

WC4s and Black Inf 6s (hopefully we get them with the Nike air in a couple years) is all you need in life...

Okay cool, I just felt like most like the shoe because everyone else made them like it (ingenuine interest based on the shoe's popularity and perceived vanity that owning the shoe may bring from local chicks and hypebeasts)

Man, I haven't paid attention to anything JB in a while and haven't been in the forum for a long time. Something about the Cement 4's and Black/red 4's with Nike Air just gets me going. If these release with Nike Air on it, I'm buying two pairs, so long as I don't have to go to extremes for them.

I miss my 99's :smh: I wore the hell out of them and one time my Black/red 4's crumbled on me at the Concord 11 camp out  man, I wish the hobby never turned to what it is now.

As someone mentioned previously, they've already "remastered" the mold.  It's unlikely that they're changing the shape from what we already got in 2015.  It was also noted that these will be Teal 4 quality leather with the rest looking identical in terms of shape/mold; just NA branding.

In regard to the leather.... I can't speak on the 2012's or 1989's, as I never had a pair... but the 99's weren't real leather. They were a pressed synthetic.

LOL! If that's the case... then what are the 2012's using? ...Because they aren't even close to THAT!:x

No idea, but the 99's used the same pressed synthetic found on the 00 white/black/red Vs and 04 white/green IVs.

I wouldn't be surprised if the '12 white/cements used real leather. I know the '12 black/cements used natural nubuck as opposed to the synthetic durabuck on the 99's and CDP's. Like I said, I don't own a pair and haven't cared enough to go up to someone wearing them and ask to "feel their material"

Nah, I owned a pair of IV's from 2012... the Quality has done nothing short of detoriate. I have no doubt the '99 IV's used synthetic leather... but it was High Quality Synthetic at that!

The crap they use on the IV's now is TRASH. I bought a pair of Fire Red's, took them out of the package and sold them back within a week.

I'm not sure what they'll be using on this "Remaster" but I doubt it's anything close to real leather. We can only hope the Leather is as good as the 1999's... Synthetic or Not.

We'll just have to wait and see. Honestly.. I prefer the old synthetic over a lot of stuff used today. It's durable and very easy to keep clean.

If the Zoom Flight 98's we saw in 2013 are any indicator though, it's not looking good . The difference in material between my OGs from 98 and my 13's is night and day.

Wowzers
Just clicked in the thread to see what's new
And all I see is long paragraphs being posted
Interesting read though :nerd:

Damn that's crazy, son. You mean you came to a discussion forum and saw actual discussion? :wow:

 @ any post on this page (if that's what you're referring to) being "long paragraphs".
