That Nike mold has consistently been produced for the Air Flight 89 since its initial retro run in 99/00.
Essentially these molds are readily available and it would simply be a branding call (or lack of appreciation for detail) if they wind up not using them on the AJIV.

The shared tooling for the AJIV and AF89 cut production costs tremendously back in the day.  
Let's hope we see it on the IV again.

Very good point.

The closest comparable scenario for the All Star White Cement III release would be the Air Revolution being in production at the time (I feel like there were more lower end models with the same sole that I'm just completely drawing a blank on) I guess, which isn't quite the same.

I'm right with you on hoping that Jordan Brand doesn't play games on the sole though.

Like I said before, & MAYBE it's JUST ME... But, the SPACING BETWEEN the I, & R LOOKS SIGHTLY OFF. Kinda like "I  R", Do y'all SEE what I mean? I KNOW it's an early pair/maybe FAKES, & I COULD be REACHING, but THAT'S MY HONEST OPINION. In THE end, I'm REALLY more concerned wit the OVERALL SHAPE/HEIGHT/CUT of the shoe. Also, COMFORT & NO PAINT CRACKIN'/CHIPPIN'. I tried my '12 Black/Cement's on AGAIN last week to see HOW they went with these BLACK/GRAY 501's I puchased, & the paint STARTED 2 CRACK/CHIP a little on one of the shoes. I HAVEN'T even ****** wore them out yet! It's ONLY the SECOND time I'VE ****** TRIED THEM ON! I HOPE & ****** PRAY when ALSO GET THESE NEXT YEAR...​

Obviously he's very passionate about the look on these sneakers or else he wouldn't have posted what he posted and the way he posted it. But I don't blame him. For $220, you would hope JB would come correct for a "remastered" pair.
 
**** these stupid *** "preview shots" of shoes we already have seen hundreds of times before. Just show the whole darn shoe! I hope that stops in 2016 although that would prob be silly of me to hope such a thing

These both releases in 2012.. You'd call that overdue?
 
In a proper retro, YES. They released in 2012 with HORRIBLE quality, and Ashford Lawrence (Ashy Larry) nubuck. I didn't purchase the '12 White/Cements, but I heard they had HORRENDOUS quality also.

Had 4 pairs, they werent as bad as many claim. My major gripe is the netting yellowed quick even in indirect sunlight.
 
Had the Fire Red's from 2012... as BAD as Advertised.

Leather was Weak AS USUAL, but what really bothered me, besides the size, was the HUGE Tongue that went up the shin and the Steel Toe Boot Area in the front of the shoe.

The size 12 was too big and the shoe just wasn't even worth the $140 I dropped on em, so I sold them on The Bay for like $160 about 3 weeks later.
