Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro "White/Cement" - The Aftermath - NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING

But forreal, it's 2015 and we still complaining about toe boxes. It's been 10 years....

It's the first remaster of an OG colorway that featured Nike Air. People really thought they would get closer of an original shape, because that was one of JBs promises. Some knew better, but those who didn't can voice their displeasure. NT has been that platform for decades.

I've just resolved the fact that it's never going back to that. For some like me, it's not going to deter me from buying if I already made up my mind I want to buy a particular shoe. I'm just tired of hearing the same stupid complaint. We should be over it by now.

BUT, Nike knows this. You cannot determine quality of the shoe simply by looking at pics on the internet ad nauseum. Nike knows this so they keep the cycle going. We can speculate all we want about how it looks at a 65° angle under day lamps etc, but we won't get the true feel until we make that impusle buy on Saturday mornings at 10am. Only to teeter over the delivery process of the shoe, get the shoe in the mail. and come back to the message board and complain some more like we did the previous 10 months leading up to the release. Only to wear the shoe once then put them on the aftermarket with at least a 50% to the person who initially missed out and the cycle continues. The process is redundant. It's comical how we cry for change and we post here and Nike observes members of this board like lab rats in a maze.

So true!  Look how much hype there is (ex. '14 black infrared 6...600+ pages on NT!).  Then people stick them in their closet and a few months later don't even think about them again, sometimes for years.  Personally, I wear my shoes, but sometimes even forget about some that I have when they're out of rotation for awhile.  So much energy prior to release, then it passes just like every other "classic" shoe that gets launched, and we're on the hunt for the next one.  The greatest tragedy really, is for those of us who actually want it that don't get to buy them b/c they're either limited, or sold to resellers.

You dont have to explain anything to me my G. I get the game. But people on here need to understand this is NT and people will forever voice their negative opinions. And people will post their negative opinions about others negative opinions.

And it's ok.

I need better pictures before I can make a decision.

But props on getting the netting right and "dat speckle density."

I loved the 2012 release minus the crap leather

Y'all can hate but I love the tech grey color

@AirThompson  Yup definitely saw that too. Looks good. Only thing I really wanted most besides the NA was the leather quality to be better anyways. Not surprised by the mold though i did have hopes for it.

Shoe looks much more plush too. Definitely not paper thin (and that includes the leather too). I really like what I'm seeing so far. Could be worse knowing JB.

I know all of you guys, hating or not, are going to be copping regardless.

It's October and these come out in February. These are just a sample, with that much time many things can change

Really on the fence with these. The lighter shade of grey is a big plus, but that price tag will be close to 240 around my way after tax. That's a big minus. I will wait until closer to Rd to make up my mind. Though these are the perfect compliment to my oreo 4s.

Not you too, G :smh:

I couldve went all in thinking JB was def gonna hit us with light grey this time around. Even the '12 sample had the '99 grey shade. But for some odd reason they want to drop two identical retros back to back, with the only change being a Nike swoosh. The casual consumer would see them as basically the same shoe, because they dont care about a Nike sign.

Sure, you could've, but we both know better than to have really had that much faith in JB  To be fair though, that Gray seems a bit lighter to my eyes and there is heavier speckling on this pair, but they are still indeed pretty identical to the last release.

Nice observation on the leather though; I hadn't looked at that picture too closely.

No, no I'm not

I'm not some zombie that can't resist to buy crap he doesn't like

I wouldn't waste my money to these. And I'm sure there are plenty others that will do the same.

Seems like this "you guys will still buy" stuff come from people that don't consider that demand way out paces supply

So the dudes that don't cop doesn't mean anything to JB

Nah maroon 6s are the first

Not going to lie, even though I'm going after these hard, the shape looks so bad compared to the OGs, 99s and even the Oreos from this year
