@airdhazzal so you are saying the loose netting are better than the even netting? just curious.
i think some stuff we can say are changed for the better and some should be kept original. the good for example midsole compound no longer crumbles (minus the crappy paint of course), the injection process of the outsole (as you guys should remember often one color would overlap other color on the outsole. i.e. you can see the clear red or clear sole on the XI and XII through the black pods or the IV above there the white nike logo would have some amount of blue leaked over), or misaligned midsole to the upper (which was infamous on the OG XII where the mud guard often never lined up at the heel. the bad are obviously the leather quality..as far as shape...i dunno, i never did like the wedge shape or the original.
personally i think the overall "quality control" is better. a long way has come from the China factories not meeting the standards of the Taiwan factories back in the days. The shape or the material changed, but one cannot deny the overall QC is pretty consistent even if crappy made shoes like the CDPs exist.
and what i mean by quality control is this pic below. I'm glad my buddy kept and send me this pic. This was my 2000 retro blk/red XI that i bought and sold it to him. The toe box on each foot is different! you can see the left shoe's looks more like the og and right shoe has the rounder toe box that kept its shape.
