With training camps for all 32 teams roughly three weeks away, the wait for football draws closer to an end...yet even more unbearable as we approach the starting blocks on the road to Super Bowl L!

In honor of the 50th Super Bowl, which will be played in February 2016, everything is golden for the 2015 season: from the NFL shield, to the standards that the good folks at #NTML and 5 Wide Entertainment strive to live up to - and exceed. Therefore, as a gift to ease the agony of the wait...and to whet your appetite that much more, as your chance to immortalize yourself forevermore as World Champion gets closer...we will go through the entire league with an in-depth look at what the upcoming season - and beyond - may have in store for each individual team!

The doors to "The War Room" have officially been opened...:pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

And we begin in...the NFC EAST! :smokin

WAR ROOM: DALLAS COWBOYS

image.jpg

For the Dallas Cowboys, Madden 15 was the platform on which they would stake their claim among the league's elite early on, as they took the NFC East crown in outstanding fashion in Season 1. However, inconsistencies and a change in ownership would befall America's Team, as losses to divisional rivals in both of their playoff appearances (Philadelphia, Season 1...NYG, Season 4) left the men in stars winless in postseason play, and seeing stars for much of the league's duration...

However, @DanyoSahn, who controlled that Eagle team that went on to upset the 'Boys in the aforementioned Wild Card classic in the inaugural playoff, finds himself at the helm of his former nemesis. He aims to bring his resilient nature to the Lone Star State, in hopes of bringing World Championship #6 to Jerry Jones and company. It is only then that we will justifiably hear the age-old question...

"HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS?!?"

:pimp: STRENGTHS ::pimp:

Yes, we know about Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, and Jason Witten. However, what bodes best for Danyo as he prepares for battle with Dallas is that he inherits the league's premier offensive line. As a player who employs a fiercely-committed run attack, often with a workhorse back leading the way, Danyo's chances of substantial Madden success may be at an all-time high; remember, he didn't beat top-seeded Green Bay (in Season 1's Divisional Round), nor did he beat World Champion owner tehbest13 tehbest13 and his Seattle Seahawks in front of the 12th Man (in Season 4's Wild Card Round) by chucking it 50 times. If the running game can consistently get going, allowing opportunities for shots downfield to, arguably, the game's premier wideout (and others, ie Beasley, Williams), proven road warrior DanyoSahn and the Dallas Cowboys could be a true force to be reckoned with once more...

Defensively, Danyo also reaps the benefit of having more playmakers than he did in Philly. Sean Lee and Rolando McClain should help stabilize the Dallas front seven, as will the signing of former Carolina Panther Greg Hardy. Beyond that rests rookie Randy Gregory, who slipped in the 2015 NFL Draft, but has an undeniable amount of talent and potential coming out of Nebraska.

:smh: WEAKNESSES :smh:

As disciplined as Danyo can be in the run game, there are two concerns; the first of which being, who will emerge as his feature back in Big D? :nerd: Impressive as it was, we must not forget that Danyo had the services of one of the elite backs, Shady McCoy, last Madden as owner of Philadelphia. McCoy has since moved on to Buffalo via trade, leaving the Eagles to nab the player who would've undoubtedly been the lead dog in Dallas this year, had the Cowboys retained him - 2014 NFL rushing champion DeMarco Murray. While Danyo will have a stable of backs at his disposal (Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle, Lance Dunbar, and Ryan Williams), one has to wonder, who will pick up the majority of the slack caused by Murray's departure?

For Danyo's sake, he will have to find a bellcow or timeshare that works for him; failure to do so will make life extremely uncomfortable on Dallas QB Tony Romo. Danyo must prove that he can right the ship of inconsistent quarterback play by making better reads and taking calculated risks, opposed to recreational ones. The upper echelon of teams and owners over the course of last year's league were able to eliminate, or just render irrelevant, Danyo's ground attack. To cement himself in that upper echelon, Danyo will, at times, have to keep defenses honest - via the pass. If he can't, Dallas will need a lot more than one Sean Lee, one Greg Hardy, and one Brandon Carr to negate the good-to-heavenly field position that opposing offenses may inherit by way of Cowboy turnovers. Lettuce pray that the loss of Draya has no ill-effects on Orlando Scandrick.

:smokin TORETTO'S TAKE : 8-8 :smokin

The Cowboys will, assuredly, boast one of the top 5-7 ratings in Madden 16. Schematically, DanyoSahn could not have asked for a more seamless fit. However, with division nemesis mrsneakerman mrsneakerman still at the helm in Washington, as well as old faces in new places (Philadelphia and New York), nothing will come easy for Dallas. Add in games against other NFC stalwarts, like Seattle and Carolina, as well as facing the revamped AFC East, and it may take a season to re-acclimate before Danyo makes a true impact in the NT Madden 16 League. :nthat:

WAR ROOM: NEW YORK GIANTS

image.jpg

The beginning of the Madden 15 League was a tumultuous one for the New York Football Giants. With a few different owners, even fewer victories, and even fewer moments of relevance, Big Blue was in the Madden abyss for much of the first two seasons. What occurred thereafter may have been the most unexpected turnaround of any team in such a short amount of time...

Although Season 2 was pretty much over at the time of his arrival, @DaHero1017 would have a monstrous offseason, as he acquired the likes of Rob Gronkowski, JJ Watt, and drafted a worthy successor to two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning - QB Louie Swain. Season 3 saw the G-Men hoist the Lombardi once more, defeating tyonenine tyonenine and his Baltimore Ravens in the Super Bowl. A subsequent move to Toronto couldn't stop some of the marquee names from joining the now-juggernaut Giants; AJ Green and DeMarco Murray were next to join the fray. Their next two seasons would end in the playoffs at Carolina, the latter of the two losses also ending an era as Jesus now handles operations in Cincinnati...

Which leaves the Giants under new management....management which has tasted some of the glory before. Season 1 NFC Champion owner carver carver , who we last saw at the helm of the Minnesota Vikings in Season 2 of the Madden 15 League, has returned to take the stage under the brightest lights of all - New York.

It is here where we will find the true measure of the returning competitor's skills. Although eventually falling to Kansas City in the championship, Carver's run to the inaugural Super Bowl in the Madden 15 League was superb - wins at Seattle and New Orleans, then an obliteration of Philadelphia in front of 65,000 rabid Viking fans! But...can he start anew in The Mecca...and become just that?

:pimp: STRENGTHS :pimp:

If there were one time that Eli Manning didn't have that befuddled look on his face, it would probably be when thinking about his weaponry on offense. In a division with lots of offensive firepower from top to bottom, Carver should find life to be quite fun with the football this year. He inherits an already-solid running game, which featured Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams, and that has since added former Patriot back Shane Vereen to inject some speed in the Big Blue backfield. Tight end Larry Donnell, even if unspectacular, is a solid option and can even catch three touchdowns in a game if you don't respect him. But the wide receivers HAVE THE CHANCE...to be an absolute nightmare for opposing secondaries. Sure, we don't know exactly what we'll see out of a still rehabilitating Victor Cruz this year. Sure, we don't know if Reuben Randle will ever truly break out, despite the bottomless pit of chances he seemingly gets to do so. But, when 2015 first-round pick turned national sensation turned Madden coverboy Odell Beckham, Jr is on your side...it helps all involved out.

Couple that with an infusion of youth on the offensive line in the form of 2015 first-round pick Ereck Flowers, and solid pieces on defense such as Jon Beason, Prince Amukamara, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and rookie free safety Landon Collins, there could be more G's Up than the Max B hook!

:smh: WEAKNESSES :smh:

Pop!

.....goes the finger...

As well as, quite possibly, any chance of taking the Giants D-Line THAT seriously in 2015. With Jason Pierre-Paul, fresh off of forfeiting himself millions of dollars, in an obvious state of flux, who will emerge up front for the G-Men? Cullen Jenkins is 34 and probably winding down. Johnathan Hankins, while having a breakout year of sorts, becomes the focal point for opposing teams, presumably. And the Giants were still horrid against the run, a problem that reserve ends Robert Ayers and possible (now likely?) JPP replacement, rookie Owamagbe Odighizuwa, may have to take more of the brunt of.

With question marks on both sides of the ball at key positions, Carver will have to prove, once more, that he can find a solution to these possible problems rather quickly, or else the biggest statements in the Big Apple could wind up coming via New York media front pages. Tweets/predictions by avid Knicks fan and Madden 16 Titans owner, Cease, notwithstanding of course

:smokin TORETTO'S TAKE : 9-7 :smokin

With as little film as nearly any of our competitors to base a prediction on, I see Carver as a true wild card here. Small sample size...yet played in a Super Bowl. Unfamiliar opponent for many...yet many have improved their games during his abscence. With the NFC East featuring four competitors who won playoff games in last year's league, I don't envision much separation between any of them - at least, initially. Nine wins could take the division this year, and while it remains to be seen if it will, I think Carver and his Giants finish just above .500, while staying in the playoff hunt up until the final week.
From there, who knows what happens?

After seeing a 5 seed host an NFC Title Game last Madden, I'll humbly say I don't. :nthat:
