June Taste Challenge..... Eat Dat!

The way sckid20 described balut is not the way it looked when I googled it lol. It's basically a whole bird with a side of yolk.

Always wanted to try balut, but I don't have the balls.

I just googled that.
There is no amount of liquor or weed that can get me to eat that.

I was in a Filipino bar pretty drunk and one of my friends was asking if someone would eat one with him if he ordered 2 of them. I don't remember if I said yes but he didn't order any. I probably would've puked. My parents used to warm up balut in the microwave and the smell was so bad.

:x

My girl is Filipino and she refuses to eat it. Maybe I should just give it up.

I've had pretty much everything posted other than the tongue.

Had grasshopper tacos not too long ago...disgusting.

I tried cow tongue once and its not that bad, its just soft.

I'm big on texture so grasshopper tacos is a no no.

I've tried everything mentioned here except balut, and grasshopper tacos

I have however tried crickets.

I have ground kangaroo meat in the freezer right now. Probably make some burgers sometime this month with it. i love trying new exotic foods

For the guy wanting to try a rare steak, there's nothing wrong with that, you just need to go somewhere that is rated high quality. Don't order it from somewhere like outback steak house

Had kangaroo jerky and burgers this year. Know of anywhere I could pick some up in the states that isn't a restaurant? Kinda wanna prepare my own.

Try some head cheese...

True story.

First time hearing about head cheese was on Breaking Bad.

Then I saw how it was made on Bizarre Foods.

Was over my grandma's one day and was in the fridge and ran across some slices.

It taste worst then it smells :x

Taste like rotten meat n vinegar

medium rare steaks are the best. Rare is ok; you can taste the soul of the cow and take some its gains.

Balut looks terrible but I'd probably try it, I mean I've done sannakji with a whole baby octopus and it can't be any worst than that

I eat thousand year old egg but not balut.

Never will eat durian either.

I prefer to eat unfamiliar things if it was cooked or paired with something else

I'm all for trying new things but some I have to refuse.

Balut is crazy. I think you have to get past the visual in order to eat it...gotta be blind folded with no idea what youre about to eat.

I've had buffalo (pretty good), muscles, oyster, clam, goat head stew (mannish wata big up JA massive)

I've seen these grilled with olive oil on cooking shows, is that the traditional way to cook them?

Seems like some fancy **** to get them panties moist.

"Girl he grilled some tilapia and artichokes for me"

Also just recently tried asparagus.

Presently surprised.
Don't think i've had it grilled. Most often i've probably had it in the form of a dip. Alot of restaurants offer a spinach artichoke dip. Usually they are delicious

Ive had dat loool.

If u can eat that u can eat anything imo

Yea I figured, the whole baby octopus was disgusting and one of the worst things I've ever ate but I've also tried eating just the live tentacles and that wasn't bad at all

I'll try balut one of these days, just got to get over how disgusting it looks
