Official Fallout 4 Thread - Release - 11.10.15

^^^^ Thought so,I assume it will be like Skyrim though and get really hard to level after a certain point. Thanks for the confirmation.

Ran into my first glitch :frown: Game just froze and automatically restarted luckily only lost about 10 minutes of playing time.

What's a good level to take "The Caste" back with Preston

Also what level should I head to Diamond City
You don't have to be that high for the castle, just bring a lot of molotovs.  I got to Diamond City really early lol, way before I did the castle

Which faction should I support?

I dislike the story so far because its a bunch of political nonsense

No one is truly evil

I was at level 12 and I kind of struggled at the castle but I beat it

I'm at level 13 now about to go to Dianond City

. I'm just catching the fade from this Deathclaw over and over

Y'all found the Furious Power Fist yet? I encountered a giant monster in a pond and got the fist as a drop from it.
It deals 45 damage and deals more damage with each consecutive hit. I'm making light work of anything that gets in melee range.

^ Video of where to get it. The boss is pretty tough, I used my Alien Blaster and loads of grenades.

I keep getting killed by Feral ghouls. I have made zero progress
That radiation damage is tough. They will come out of nowhere and sprint slap you in a fraction of a second.
I'm level 32 now and I haven't even started the main quest
I did one main mission after getting out of the vault, been doing side missions etc ever since.
I got 43 hours played now this game is way too addicting

level 22.

no cap?

so, basically, youll have all perks and all special maxed out?

add that to the list of minor "dumbed down" elements of fallout

they got rid of skill points

they got rid of eating, drinking, sleeping

they got rid of armor and weapon repairing

having a cap was half of the strategy of building characters out.

How do you turn ur junk to scrap materials?

if you load all the junk into the workbench, it will automatically scrap them.

just got a starred 10mm pistol which shoots bullets that explode on impact....:pimp:

also found raider power armor.

game is soooooo dope.

Im the opposite of yall; i'm trying to ONLY do the main story quest right now. Some of the legs of the story are ridiculous, so i let myself get sidetracked.

typically my first playthrough is just to get the "rules" of the game down, then i play a second time, perfect.

also found dog armor. i found dog collars and bandanas but i keep forgetting to equip them on the dog.

word? lol

yo, i can't tell if you get naturally progressing perks from your playtype, or if they're ONLY from magazines you pick up,

but i have like the alien blaster +5% damage and i havent even found it...

i have an additional marksmen perk progressing on top of rifleman.

anybody have any insight on these organic "extra" perks?

I'm not 100% sure but I think they are only from the magazines you pick up,I read they are over 200 spread throughout the game so that's a lot of extra "perks" you can get....
I figured out you can also pickpocket fusion cores from people wearing power armor so I guess that technically makes them unlimited too...Raider Survivalists are sometimes seen wearing them.

I figured that out once i started finding more magazines. seemed like a cool idea to have organic perks you earn through playstyle tho.

SMH I found two fat man nukes but I forgot where I stored them, also had to drop a third one cause I was carrying too much.

I have no idea what I'm doing in this game  Where can I get some health and ammo on a regular basis? This is my first Fallout game so I'm not really sure how youngo abkut doing stuff. Also if I joined the Minutemen does that mean I can't join the Brotherhood later?

easiest way to get amo is by killing or finding random stashes.

You got go look for this stuff when inside buildings. If you see a box, go up to it to see its contents.

this game seems a bit watered down compared to nv or 3.

U can join the brotherhood later, in fact before getting to diamond city a paladin will ask you if you want to join.

The lack of death claws is surprising thus far.

Only encountered 3 and it wasn't that hard to kill them compared to the older games.

meh.

That crabs queen tho, that one is hard to kill holy ****.

I've been playing a good bit this weekend, enjoying it but it's been a good while since I tooled around in New Vegas and I have to get used to the controls again. So far I've been sticking to doing stuff for my sanctuary crowd and trying to build up my rep with the Brotherhood, hope this doesn't bite me in the butt later because the Synths the Institute sent are pretty cool and I feel I'll find out misunderstood.

Don't want to spoil too much but let's just say the BoS aren't the only faction you can join
