Victor Cruz Signature Shoe

If not Cruz, than Colin Kaepernick would have got this. While Cruz is not visible on the field he is definitely visible in the Entertainment and fashion worlds. So he is a draw outside of just sports for Nike. Athlete sneakers don't sell today like they did in the 90's. In the 90's you had to be a good player or at the very least the star of your team to warrant your own signature shoe. Today if you have charisma, a big following on social media, and celebrity connections like Cruz they look at that as a draw. I mean who here hasn't heard of #CruzDayTuesday with footlocker? Victor Cruz is marketable whereas the other guys mentioned, with exception to Odell Beckham, aren't as marketable.

EXACTLY! That's why Victor Cruz states on his show that this is a NIKE SPORTSWEAR LIFESTYLE shoe. He talks about his large social media influence, style and being apart of sneaker culture. Not a shoe to be worn for training but you can train in them if you want he also stated. He goes on to say that this shoe is to be worn casual out on a date with your girl etc. Lastly he says that he is the FIRST NFL player ever with Nike to have a lifestyle shoe also.
This for all of the people up here who may not have actually listened to him break down his shoe on his show.

how many SB rings does megatron have vs Cruz?

I don't care about how many rings he has. Football is a team sport. Cruz couldn't even carry Johnson's game day gloves.

Football is definitely a team game and Calvin is a better player BUT Cruz was a huge part of that SB run.

It's not that shocking that Cruz got a shoe. He was a real big deal for two years, he came out of nowhere and made it big. Plus he's big in the fashion world so it makes sense.

Ehhhh I've never heard of Cruz day
Kaepernick isn't beloved like he was years ago

Plenty of other athletes are more marketable than Cruz.

I'm not the one to lecture tho since I'm indifferent

Who is more marketable and visible in both the Sports, Entertainment and Fashion worlds than Cruz from the NFL, other than Odell Beckham Jr., Colin Kaepernick, and Tom Brady?

Also BigJ I'm surprised you of all people have never heard of #CruzDayTuesday if you follow footlocker you've seen it. Every Tuesday your post you best kicks for a chance to be handpicked by Cruz to win a $100 footlocker gift card.

No need to follow footlocker bruh....

And as far as NFL players... I'm not that big into their off the field lives but a sig shoe based in off field fashion is definitely an anomaly. 2 good years would equal a collab or something at best. Larry Fitzgerald has been known to be fashionable and he has a longer resume but I'm not even sure if he's a Nike athlete or not.

AGAIN - I'm indifferent on the idea. It's just interesting.

Yeah, Fitzgerald definitely should have a sig over Cruz. Cruz won't last. IMO

The shoe looks nice. I will be copping the grey pair and maybe the black ones.
Cruz earned this shoe from nike. Better players always come along, but he had 3 straight good seasons and he was one of the main stars on a Super Bowl team. Then last year he got hurt. Hopefully he recovers soon and has a good 3 or 4 years left in him.

These should have been made long ago. Nike is doing a terrible job with their release dates.

So I guess the Revis 1 Denim's weren't a lifestyle shoe.

I believe he means an exclusive Nike Sportswear/Lifestyle shoe like the Yeezy 1 & 2 for example. Also a fyi even though the Revis 1 used denim on the shoe they still weren't classified as a Nike Sportswear shoe.

But hey man listen to the video those our Victor Cruz's words not mine and hear him emphasizes for yourself that he's the first NFL player ever, to be given that from Nike. :rolleyes
