Not a bad thing in my book. If you're going to complement navy with gold on a IV, the white netting will actually add to a worn look in the long run. I like this year's quality of IV's because they seem like they will have better longevity than any IV's since 1999.

Im happy they have the lower eyelet tabs fixed. That means there's hope for the hopefully NA retro 4s.

The eyelet tabs look off compared to the OG and the 99 retro. Lower triangle is too big! Just compare the pics from page 1. If Nike wants to fix this then have to do it properly. If not, easy pass

These look solid, but I think the hopefuls for a better shape again are jumping the gun here, because why would they make a mold, claim that it'll be the mold for at least the next 10 years (I get so upset every time I think about this 
), use said mold for a year, and then make another one?
The eyelets are an easy "oops" fix that they probably noticed late and (hopefully) will be fixing on pairs from here on though.

Can't wait for these. I love how it has a yellow lining on the inside of the navy leather, so that when they are cut the yellow outline shows up. View media item 1569949
The only other Jays I seen do that are the the Ray Allen 11 "2 Rings".
The gold patent leather has a red interior, so it had a red outline. Awesome touch!!!

I tried putting them side by side. Angles aren't perfect but can still come away with a few minute differences.

Not only did they fix the lace tabs but it looks a lot more secure/stable looking at the base. Basically means that those triangles aren't for show but for durability too. I also noticed that the netting is thicker. Leather also looks thicker/edges are frayed instead of rounded over.
Unclear due to angle:
The gap on the base of the wings on the 2016 pair looks to be shorter. They also look a tad thicker. I also believe the air bubble looks compact but thicker if that makes sense. Also that minor shape difference along the midsole. However like stated, these all could just be the angles.
