FOX's Wayward Pines starring Matt Dillion, Melissa Leo, Carla Gugino Terrance Howard, Shannyn Sossam

I still dont understand how it could really be that far into the future.

Between the wife and son interacting with Terrance Howard before ending up in Wayward Pines, and the FBI guy talking to Pilcher about having second thoughts..it confuses me.

Anyone clear up that confusion for me?

the show was time jumping with flashbacks but they werent labeling as such.

so the husband was gone for like 4 days, and it was in those 4 days in 2014 that the wife and son went to look for him and also subsequently got abducted.

Yeah that.

When FBI dude called Pilcher, Pilcher wasn't in the future. It was still 2014 or 2015. All those flashback scenes happened in the same year.

So Howard's character wasn't time traveling to get Burke's wife and son. He abducted them just like they abducted Burke and then just released them in to the town at different times.

Hope you guys jimmies are prepared to be rustled cuz FOX actually renewed Wayward Pines for a 2nd season

 :smh:

Can't get any worse can it? With the way The Leftovers vastly improved in it's 2nd season I'm in a more optimistic headspace to give this another shot and look forward to it.

Bring on the annoying chosen 1st generation kids all sucking on Pilcher's teet and w/e else weird wild new **** they'll introduce with the abbies and this being 2 thousand years in the future.

Gonna be like The Following again... I'm gonna complain a whole bunch and get sucked back into it...

Had no idea!   How the show unfolded really threw me off... dunno if I'll be back.

Season 2 starts tonight

I had no idea

I'll peep but reviews aren't great

just got done reading the reviews, First season was so great because you had no idea what was going on, wonder how they'll push the envelope for this season. Anyone read the books? how good are they?

I'll give it a watch but I won't be that engaged for the whole season if it's the same *******.

Putting aside knowing the twist and most secrets they revealed in S1, I didn't find myself interested as I watched the ep.

Not mad he died but they had a draw with Matt Dillon so starting the ep off filling this nameless actor as a doctor the only interest I had was his fine *** wife. They should've got a known above average formerly famous actor to lead this.

I was watching like how many eps until Honsou shows up? :nerd:

 @ Gugino's character just committing that. Straight up gave up on life and fighting. Just gonna bleed out on top of and next to Hope Davis

I'm still watching as more ppl die each ep but I'm not interested in the doctor feeling betrayed or this story line of the abbys being more evolved and possibly being as smart or smarter than humans.

Its like this dude Pilcher didn't think to bring enough food and medicine but he has all of the major diseases and viruses known to mankind. If I was them I'd just release the bubonic plague on those things and give all humans the cure/vaccine.

Show has lost something from S1.

Whats the verdict on this one gents?

Garbage, dont waste your time. I dont know why exactly but the show has completely lost its luster. Maybe its the characters their using this season or the story but it doesnt hold my interest.

Im only interested in the scenes that involve the Abbies which they are focusing more on in this season. Everything else i can live without.

I thought season 1 was great but, from that point, every one of my favorite players either died, got killed or killed themselves. Now we are left with a couple nobodies and the kids. Cool concept though.

yea they completely changed the direction of the series, feels like a different show. Still dope but season one was better. Also whatever happened to that chick Ben was messing with?

Still like it, it's still a cool concept like everyone else said, I also wish they'd focus on the abbies more, they kinda are but the problem for me is I don't care about any of these characters or relationships, so it's like 95% filler and then they'll drop a clue about the abbies. Much like they did first season, but it was about the whole town so the scope and thrill was huge

I'm way more interested in the the other groups of ppl still in stasis.

To me that's where the last intrigue of the show is. What other kind of ppl did Pilcher abduct.

Still would like a season where he unknowingly brought along a genius smarter than him and/or a psychopath that just takes over the whole town.
