Kobe Bryant Appreciation Thread (29/11/15) retirement announcement. final szn.

After watching this finals, i get why people rate lebron lower.

and it isnt his crybaby antics either.

mamba just really knows how to change the momentum of a game.

lebron would tap pout in the sharpshooter. kobe basically almost lets his hand fall to the mat and u think its a tapout and out of nowhere a surge of energy comes out.

i couldnt end the finals with u guys bc yall know why, but lebron really showed some basketball immaturity letting his frustration get to him. same body language in 07, vs dirk, vs spurs.

while i still favor him as my favorite current player. i now rank him lower the kobe.

I remember that. Didn't Mac go off the first half for almost 30. Then Kobe came with 20+ in the 2nd half and held Mac tonsingle digits I think
you think correct. my friend who was a big tmac fan thought kobe and mac were equal.

. tmac was abusing rick fox and devean. then kobe started guarding him and tmac was shut down. 2k4 kobe was one of my favorite kobe years.

Huarache 24k has also got to be one of theeeee best models nike created.

This video, by itself, a 3 week stretch of games, when Kobe was 23-24, he hits more shots, in more variety of ways, variety of moves, range, footwork, both hands, than LeBron has his entire career.

And Phil ordered this stretch of games, then turned it off when needed.

and people have stated such ridiculous things like "lebron is better at everything basketball then kobe"  .

kobe a true basketball player. just a beautiful game kobe had.

he is not just a  superior athlete who happens to ball.

Never got to see Bean play in his prime, one of my biggest regrets had an opportunity to go to a Finals game in 2009 against Orlando but declined.

saw kobe live in portland a few years ago..dude went off at the end and beat the blazers in OT. glad to have witnessed greatness :pimp:

Here's the game where the comparison ended between T-Mac & Kobe:

And their other match up over the years:

Back then 2001 to 2004 I really honestly didn't see the comparison. Kobe back then entering in & his prime was just the better overall player while T-Mac was just a scoring machine.Heck even when you compare stats of T-Mac's best year when he led the league in scoring it still doesn't come close to Kobe's 05-06 season when Kobe average 35 points per game and that was the same year he dropped 62 in 3 quarters against the Mavs and had the 81 point game.

That Raptors game back in 2013 was a thing of beauty. Three incredibly difficult threes to force OT, as well as the go ahead dunk to put the game away. Pure greatness. I remember watching it and thought about how that game embodied the whole season, Kobe single handedly carrying the whole team. Amidst all the injuries, turmoil, and dysfunction, he was the lone constant. I know MVPs usually dont come from teams outside the top 5, but the way he preformed at the level that he did, and at that age, man, they should have made an exception that year.
BTW, I firmly believe had he not gotten injured, the Lakers wouldve beaten the Spurs during that years playoffs.

Same as that other video, the plethora of buckets/spots on the court. :smh: :x :pimp:

That's a week worth of basketball. I could scour Bron's entire career and not match this video in terms of spots on the floor, or moves with the ball/off the ball.

I was never much of a fan of Kobe...until I watched this documentary, then I really got to appreciate his game :smokin

Somebody post the 65 point game against Portland. The turnaround 3 in the corner he hits over the doubleteam to tie the game is :x

This thread is :smokin

Dude gave us so many years of greatness and basketball art. Hope he can have a nice bounce back season next year especially if its his last.
