I just saw it in 3D, loved the film, I also feel the 3D adds to the experience.
Sicario was cool..a little far fetched..But thats Hollywood.
interstellar is an amazing saturn shot away from being total garbage b
Nah, the characters are way more relatable in this, I actually wanted to see if Matt Damon lived, in Interstellar I just wanted tars to pull through
exaclty how i felt.
it was kind of boring.
You're argument is flawed, a story does not have to be mired in reality to be successful because if that's true then we'd only watch documentaries. Interstellar had better visuals, pretty much the same actors, and the story in interstellar was more visceral and gripping.
That being said, the Martian was cool. The issue is that I think it tries to mirror actual reality a little too closely, which makes it lose suspense and tension as a narrative. At times the pacing slowed and was fully reliant on Matt Damons campy "im gonna have to science the hell outta this ****" lines that seemed out of place. I agree with whoever said that this was about 30 min too long. Again, a good film with cool highlights--but with few tension points and the heavy scientific ground it treads on, it's definitely not better than interstellar.
