There is good reason why NBA Live only showed certain players in a lot of their pictures . Some of these faces are downright terrible and they look like generic faces were used.
I played the demo last night and the best thing about the game is the presentation. Love it. As far as the gameplay, its still a work in progress. Most of the top players have pretty good face scans, but they can't just give up after the starting five is done . Also, the layup animation and some of the jump shot animations look off.
I will say this though....This reminds me a little bit of NBA Live '10 (i believe it was '10?) when the game was looking pretty nice. You could tell EA was headed upward with their product, then they fell flat on their face. I think now they are back on track and this game is much better than the last two titles they tried to put out. I think for '17, they can truly focus on the game play.

Game sucks BTW. Will try pro am tonight. Presentation is on point as stated. Don't get me wrong there is progress here but they're maybe 2 years away.

I feel like Live could have/should have released this game on last gen consoles. A lot of people still play on last gen consoles & are tired of 2K since it's been the same stuff since like 2K14. They could have definitely made some money off those people that are riding the PS3/Xbox 360 til the end.

im stating my opinion. i was a lil hyped for it hoping it would compete w/ 2k but its just not good. like others said they are way behind 2k, but you go ahead and spend $120 copping both games.

Not really feeling it. Pro am is fun tho. I like how the crowd boos Bron every time he touches the ball.

This game is bad. The only positives I take away were the presentation specifically halftime. EA needs to pack it in when it comes to basketball.

All the sim developers took their talents to 2K.
We should have known EA wouldn't have put together a good game worth talking about. Seems like Fifa is the only sport they can get right. Wonder how many people will support Live this year.

Downloading the demo now & if 2k football was still around Madden would barely exist. Ppl STILL play & make new rosters for ESPN NFL 2k5...think about that

Madden would still be around. Madden 2005 and NFL 2K5 were both great games in their own right. Competition makes you have to work harder and better.

i buy live for the 'arcadey' non-sim fun...and 2k for a real basketball experience...
lives presentation and little things they have make it fun...plus their online DOESNT lag...you can actually play 5 on 5 SMOOTH...
and i mostly play online team...im tired of 2k's lag and server issues in team up mode...
its a good change from 2k and thats why i'll be copping both.

Come on man, you know how many people EA has in their pocket. Madden isn't Live. Madden is/was a cultural thing. To say Madden would barely exist is a SUPER #NTExtreme

Back when I use to play Live all the time (between '95 and like '05), I wasn't into sim basketball like that. I just liked to play basketball video games and I think my perception has changed since I'm more into simulation games now. So, it makes me think...maybe Live was always like this and I just noticed things a lot less back then because the game was just fun to play . The demo is actually pretty fun to play, but it feels fake and not like real basketball.
This kinda makes me believe Live will never hit the "sim world" because it really was never a simulation game IMO.

Cmon man. He was speaking in Hyperbole. We all know the cultural importance of Madden. But it isn't hard to see 2K as a market leader. A lot of Madden continuing its cultural importance is it being the dominant and only football video game on the market for a while. Gameday etc werent real threats. 2k5 really threatened madden. One at the price point....which made madden drop its prices. Two, with the quality. It's arguably still the best football game ever made. 11 years later. That is mind blowing.
No doubt it woulda pushed Madden to be better, but I think it's just that 2K understands how to make Sports games a lot better than Madden.
I mean think about it, when was the last time live was a better basketball game than 2K? '05? By 2K8, 2K became the leader, and 2 years later, caused EA to discontinue one of its staple series in live.
