Considering buying DS 02 Jordan vii charcoal, Is it safe to rock em casually? Or are they a few times and done kinda deal in terms of age? I really wanna know solid opinions before I purchase. I have shoes older than that I wear with no problems but, I've had some newer things I UNds'd just to get separation or a midsole crack on.

If in the wrong thread, have mercy I just post. Not a thread starter
Thanks for all info/opinions in advance.

I would not buy a pair of '02s. While the midsole might not crumble, sometimes the soles can peel off. Either way, the soles will eventually crumble. I would go after a pair of '12s or the pair from the DMP.

I'd say it's really more a matter of how they were stored. If the box was packed with a bunch of silica gel, you may want to worry, as too much can dry the glue out. If they were just stored in a closet, it's not necessarily anything to worry about. I have DS OG 7s, 2002 7, and 2006 7s. and the soles are still pretty strong. Just my personal opinion, but I only worry about the models that are known for crumbling (III-VI).

Yeah exactly man, I have shoes that old but they've been broke in well since purchasing. This being an online retailer and not out of someone's personal collection I was unsure of how it'd been stored over the years and, didn't wanna take any chances cause my intent is to wear them not to stock them.
