THE BOT / RESELLER PROBLEM

Remember when Jordans came out and ONLY released in OG colors. Maybe we got a few lifestyle CWs but for the most part it was red, black & white Js. What if Nike made more of them and less of these throw away CWs. Im sure they would STILL sellout because dont alot of LS CWs sit? (I mean on avg over the years) I bet the quality of the releases would improve as well because less styles would be created. IMO we don't need 12 different CWs of IVs because most people want the ones deemed classic by sneaker websites under the "Complex" umbrella (sneakernews, sole collector, kicks on fire, the shoe game etc) Plus it would spread out the "hype" onto other brands with wider color palettes which brings me to my next point...

Imagine if you made the most hyped Jordans & Nikes on NikeID. I know this has prolly been discussed ad nauseum here on NT, but i bet you could charge a higher pricepoint & everyone would feel like they are rocking the coolest thing, therefore no more hype. Plus the resellers wouldnt be able to snatch all the pairs cuz they couldnt make multiple pairs and ship.

Imagine everyone with they own CW of IIIs or Yeezys, game over problem solved.

Nike purposely hype up the shoe game to create the resellers and frenzies. If the retros were as easily obtained, Only us old timers who grew up during Jordan era would buy em.
 
Probably won't happen anytime soon. Nike's a business, and they'll milk their cash cow as much as possible, but not to the point of running it dry.

I thought to myself, "what if Nike put the AJ Hi OG on Nike ID? It's be a reach, but it'd also be a big deal in the sneaker community since it'd be the first retro to hit NikeID. They could have all the OG colors that have released already on NikeID; so Black, White, Royal, Varsity Red, Laney Yellow, Celtic Green, and Wolf Grey. They could also have some random color, like infrared and emerald green. Honestly they could even add certain special options like laser, mesh, and even flight weave and other stuff."

This is a post I had the other day in the AJ1 Thread. This would appease everyone if they did it. I'm gonna spread this idea across the internet till it happens. Ok. maybe not. But still. To add on to this, they still could hype new colorways so AJ1 fans can still feel like elitists. Resellers could still sell old retros for money; not the same money, but still. And I don't know of any bots that can make IDs. Ya'll may but I don't.
