Apparently, GTA 6 will have the map of the United States. CRAZY!

Maybe render a new city different after a mock "plane ride" so it seems like you're traveling but, it really is just multiple "skins". And bring back the fun, it's too damn realistic now and it inhibits the mayham.

All R* needs to do is remaster GTA San Andreas & make a third Manhunt. **** everything else

I've always thought it'd be cool to use the same geographic map for multiple games, but set in different time periods... Have RDR2 and GTA6 set in the same location, but 100-150 years apart... Things you'd do in RDR2 (tnt expository, opening stores Est 1878, plant forests, ect) would directly show up and be references on GTA6..

Kinda confusing.

I read something about a GTA based in Chicago.. I think it was called GTA Lake City, prolly just another rumor.

My exact thought process ...

I'm sure it'd make development of both games easier...

****...

You could do a 3 Game story of a family's rise to power as told over 150 years span... And just build up landscape over the games...

IDK, Rock* has to step their game up.

V was fun, but I look at people like they're slow when they say it's the best sandbox of all time.

They've clearly never played titles like AC IV, RDR, & the Fallout series. Yes Fallout is essentially an RPG but it wouldn't hurt if GTA V put more emphasis on character development & decision based story development. All three protagonists of V felt pretty cookie cutter aside from Trevor. A lot of people gravitated towards Clinton and wanted him to be the guy, but his story just felt, kind've lacking.

Even as far as the combat system goes, and how lively the city felt within the game, Sleeping Dogs even outshines GTA V.

One thing Rock* has going for it is brand recognition. They've been doing this for a long, long time. I just hope they're not afraid of shaking things up and tinkering with the formula.

GTA has never been about "decision based story development". They're all linear stories of a small time crook (the character you control) trying to take down bigger crooks and become the big crook himself.

The only GTA that had a character you remotely cared about was CJ because he had a means to his ends. He wasn't just a crook to be a crook, he was trying to help out his family and friends and get them out of the hood and out of gang life.

GTA:SA also had the best RPG elements (you could make CJ fat/skinny/muscular, play dress up, learn how to fight/drive/fly, etc.) but the story was still pretty straight forward.

GTA Tokyo starring CJ would be :pimp:.

Have him go back and forth between SA & Tokyo while we're at it.

They gotta include Ninjahood's spot in Da Heightz. It shouldn't take up to much space on the map.

Best post in this thread

And I'd be down with GTA6 being a 2-3 chapter deal, disc 1 (first city) you lay the foundation, do a couple of small time missions, bank robbery here and there, build up some capital/connects...

Disc 2 would be the main character skipping town from disc 1, setting up shop in city 2, it would transfer your stats from disc 1 (assuming you finish disc 1 in it's entirety, or maybe the story won't allow you to continue until you finish specific tasks in disc 1) but this will be when you start the heists and going up against big fish in that city, building a crew etc...

Disc 3 would be the big big missions in city # 3, going against the government, big heists, drug cartels etc.

IMO it'd go NY, FL, Cali

Just an idea

Edit: ^ this method, R* will have us mandatory locked in for 3 games, and we the consumer will get 3 games without waiting too long in between

Just do late 90's Chicago when Cabrini, RT, Stateway etc...were still up. Make the main character a stone or gd and you've got SA on steroids.

I think Chicago will be up next. GTA has already done NY, NJ, Miami and LA. Chicago seems the most likely fit. Or maybe even DC.

If it's indeed the entire US, I would expect a double disc. Sadly, a GTA based in any city won't be out for awhile.
