2015 Nike Air Jordan 1 Chicago Authentic Retail vs GM/UA/REPLICA/FAKE

All my pairs i have and others i have seen on here the production date starts on 12/10 and ends some time in February. That would have been another dead giveaway to me

Actually my pair matches with the Jimmy Jazz pair in every respect but end date is in January.

No inside swoosh, has peel off price tag on box, correct lace bag size, etc. I'll post my tag dates when I get home.

still amazes me some fakes can't get the lace bag right. Thats been noticeable from the beginning. They do such a great job with getting the details correct, for the most part, with the shoe, but then half *** it on the lace bags.

They need a way to stand out.

The old [emoji]174[/emoji] tell is still holding strong..Look at the [emoji]174[/emoji] on the boxs guys. Its that easy if they are still in a box..Compare the [emoji]174[/emoji]s..Legit pair have round fonts on ALL 1s. Also fonts on size tags are off.

Good job on the write up fam..

@bigj505 could we possibly get this stickied in the 1 thread somehow?

I'll definitely go ahead an update the Chicago thread.

Btw, that mom and pops store is doing illegal stuff. How is it okay to sell counterfeit items in an actual store at more than retail? :smh:

Considering that some mom&pops around here will lose their accounts im not surprised
I dont want to mention names but this reminds me of people fronting mixing in legit with gms fake trash. Ive seen it mentioned with some people here

Good work. Very informative thread with detailed pics for these Chicago 1's. Hopefully this will help others determine authenticity in pairs they are looking into buying. Especially that the resell price on these is unnecessarily high.

Can't get repped enough. It is too easy for the casual consumer to get had with these replicas. People are spending 2 and possibly 3 times the retail and don't even know that they fell for the hook. If you can't get your money back I would donate them to someone

I spoke with one of the co owners in his apartment earlier yesterday about his fugazi 10.5 chi 1 2015 I got from him. I explained to him the differences between my real jj one and his, letting him physically examine those differences highlighted in this thread. The man was dazed like oh really? He agreed to hand me my 200 cash and decided to get an inventory refund for his 9.5,10,10.5,11 and 12 which also were high quality gms. On the 18th I'm gonna drop them off at his place.

Moral is if you are buying in person or through friends, have at least an authentic pair to compare any questionable or off looking pair to. Be aware, get true and correct info, and always ask nt for a backup verdict for confirmation. Some will have more experience. That's one of the great reasons nt is around.

Glad it all worked out..Seller did what was right and gave you your $ back..

I really don't know what to think about my 3 pairs.

1 was from FA and totally legit. Bottom soles, 1 of the shoes has the little L's.

1 from a seller with FTL receipt and FTL tag on box.

1 from a seller provided receipt from Eblens in CT. Swoosh outline stitched on the inside.

All 3 pairs have the correct lace bags, boxes, box tag, leather feels the same. I am really at a loss here...

Likely just poor QC man. My pair has the tongues that don't match with the horizontal stitch across the tongue being much lower than on the other shoe, and I've actually seen a bunch of pairs like that online. It's frustrating, cause as soon as someone sees something like that they assume you have fakes.

Is it safe to say that if the swoosh outline is stitched on the inside, those are definitely fake?

I honestly couldn't say. Should probably post up some pics here for others to LC just in case. Maybe someone swapped out a legit pair and gave you the receipt...

Great post,

The real question here is JB quality control. Not just JB but the clothing marketplace in general. Could you take 2 real pairs and find just as many differences. I work in the manufacturing industry and we use tolerances as close as one hundred thousandths of an inch. It seems tolerances and uniformity on clothing/shoes are not strict.
