2015 Nike Air Jordan 1 Chicago Authentic Retail vs GM/UA/REPLICA/FAKE

Mine don't have that inner stitching on the swoosh, but not sure that's a tell for fakes or not. If every other detail, including look and feel of all the materials matches up with your other pairs, I'd think it was just a running or random change in the manufacturing process.
 
My adult pair from nike and my GS from kids footlocker both have the inner stitching. I think it's just the difference in quality and not a tell sign for fakes.

this store looks like its going out of biz now. I'm thinking they were legit until some gm/ua were mixed in and somebody must've complained. looks like a restaurant or something coming

Im reading some of your responses about your legit 1's

I clearly remember that BOTH 10.5 gm left and right had BLACK SWOOSH STITCHING. I will double check with the

JJ 11.5 about stitching

I wish I had read this thread before or on 6/18 cuz I took an additional 16 pix on 6/18 before returning for my refund. The additional pix might be more clear since my cam doesn't focus nicely with two different objects in 1 shot.
And the thing is I didn't take additional pix of the gm swoosh inner stitching.

I will also take an additional 16 pix of my JJ 11.5 in the same format.

i have seen both with and without the swoosh stiching from the same store and both were legit, so im gonna say its not a definitive way to determine fake or grey market pairs.

imo its very easy to find one thing wrong versus multiple things right with your pairs. imo, instead of looking for one small detail wrong, we should look for the multiple things right with the shoes. there are just too many unknown factors that could lead to a factory production line change/mistake to be absoulutely sure. for example the boxes.

at first my understanding was all pairs would have the OG box. then it seemed like only the US/Asia pairs would have OG boxes and European pairs would have the 30th anniv box. then even the US started getting the 30th anniversay boxes but with US box labels with the retail price on it.

it is very confusing as i always look out for pairs that have Asia/Europe boxes/tags/stickers with US box labels as that is a easy way to determine fakes. 

then i heard from a friend in Europe that is very connected,  that a lot of european pairs were pulled and sent to the US instead, which explains the 30th anniversary boxes being sold in the US. if i had not heard that info from an outside source, i would basically question any pair with a 30th anniversary box that had a US box label as a fake.

what color was your stiching on the swoosh? i have seen black, white on a fake/greymarket/UA  and red stiching on a legit GS/mens
 
**** they're gone, I wanted to check and see if they were legit.  Anyway, someone is looking out for me on the Shattered Backboards so I'll find a better deal later on.

True but ************ are not willing to be negotiate with a fair price, they want people to pay $400 plus to even nearly $600.  I'll be ****** before I pay $400 plus for a Jordan 1 that was released almost a month and a half ago.  I really want these and am trying to find a deal but...
 
Thanks for making this. I don't understand why those GM factories don't find smaller lace bags lol. They are getting so close (which sucks for us) and yet they still put those bulky *** lace bags on them lol (Thankfully)
 
I would like to add a pair of UAs that I had received from eBay recently.  Seller posted pictures of a legit pair and shipped me a pair of these UAs.

This is what I can spot so far on these updated(?) fakes:

Lace bag is almost the correct size, but they're still a tad larger than the real bags.  I believe how they're tied up is still incorrect.

Box is a lot larger than my other size 9 NA boxes

Size tag on the box is really off

Stars on the toes are still really cluttered

Production date on the size tag are the generally used dates for fakes.

Ankle collar is very stiff and I feel like there's too much padding(?)

Shape in the back is off. It doesn't have the curvy shape that authentic pairs have.

Nike Air tag is still off. Air isn't touching or  really close to the bottom of the tag.

Nike Air tag inside the shoe feels cheaply printed on.

Shoe trees are shaped incorrectly, laces are still untied, and shoes smell horrible

What they did fix:

Wings logo feels indented and actually pressed on. Logo also looks to be the correct size(?)

90 degree stitching near the swoosh is much cleaner and is above the swoosh.

No black swoosh stitching inside the shoe.



I hope this helps you guys when you're looking for a pair anywhere. (Maybe the mods could post this in the Chi 1/ Jordan 1 High thread?)

Also feel free to point out anything else that I happen to miss.

Should I just make my own thread in case this gets lost here?
