Whats the statute of limitations on spoiling movies/tv shows?

This debate comes up every few weeks amongst some friends.

OITNB just dropped. I've seen people already complete it and are discussing it. I've been avoiding discussions cause I haven't started and don't want it spoiled for me.

I feel like unless someone says they don't mind it being spoiled you shouldn't mention anything about the show/movie, others feel after a certain amount of time its fair game.

I agree its fair game if we're talking about an old movie like Titanic, if you haven't seen it by now its on you, imo. But a movie like Gone Girl that came out last year shouldn't be ruined for someone so soon especially with the way things went down.

How soon is too soon to spoil movie/show?
 
TV Show? u have one season

Movie? I'll give 6 months

but thats only ur actively avoiding spoilers as well

There really is no limit to the limitations of a statue. It's up to the person and means. Say he is a king and wants a big statue, he will get it. Say it's a random person who can only afford a souvenir dolphin statue from the gift shop. That's all he's getting. So my friend to answer your question, I have not but I have entertained myself.
 
I've been dodging Passion of the Christ spoilers for years, I'll get around to watching it.
Is it as good as the book?
 
I feel like if you havent seen a movie in after a year, you really dont care to see it, so dont act like you care about the spoilers.
 
After a year or so you just have to be more careful bc people throw them out there all willy nilly. Hopefully you don't have bad friends that just start a convo by dropping a bombshell spoiler and at least ask if youve seen it. And avoid all trending topics about shows on Twitter lol bc people are ruthless
