Nike starts ONLINE RAFFLES to compete with bots

So NDC won't get the new product any longer, will be allocated to stores?

This will be the death blow in my collecting sneakers...

I'm pretty sure this had nothing to do with ndc's stock. It's just to make the raffle process easier for those getting it and the Niketown employees. Can't wait to watch this fail

I dont think it does but if this includes ndc stock going  to stores then nike just screwed over ppl in states that does not have a niketown.

Care to elaborate on the easy fix?
Lol that first part that I edited out was from a post I was gonna make last night but fell asleep mid-type lol.

Anyway, just make a location based app where u can enter the raffle through it (similar to Adidas). One raffle per cell phone number. If you win you have to preorder the shoe by Wednesday (through the app or at the Niketown you won at) and then you pick up sneaker on actual release day. Pairs Are not paid for by Wednesday get raffles again and the 2nd timers have till Friday to pay for the sneaker

Yeah, no doubt. I'm surprise you even make that drive. Hopefully, you've won a few pairs here and there to make it worth it. For me, it's not really an option as the only time I can go is after work around 5 ish. Might as well [emoji]128542[/emoji] [emoji]128299[/emoji]

Shoot I make that drive from SD. Sucks because SD never gets size 15's so I have to make that drive.

This sounds like a good idea but like someone said, nike can't track how many people enter. Do you have to have a nike account attached to the e-mail address in order to enter?

I usually do ok with in store raffles. We will see.

I like it. Id only enter the raffle for stuff like DBs or Packs or whatever doesnt come out here in Saint Louis. 4.5 hours there and 4.5 hours back, but I`d rather do that then pay these ridiculous resell prices.

Clearly everyone didn't read the article.

NIKE STORE LAUNCHES – DRAWING

At NIKE, we are committed to creating premium experiences for our consumers around the world. As part of this commitment, NIKE will be piloting a new online drawing system linked to our in-store launch events. Those entering the drawing will have an opportunity to purchase select NIKE launch product at participating NIKE stores in the U.S. See NIKE DRAWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS below.

Currently, only devices offered through a U.S. mobile carrier will be supported. Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) will not be supported as we work to make sure our product lands in the hands of real consumers.
So no Google voice

They should have done this 2 years ago and didn't. The only problem here is that unclaimed pairs will be higher under this model, and the store can still be shady and backdoor pairs that were awarded to people who have no intention of being able to make it to the store. Letting scummy employees at Niketowns run raffles was borderline ******ed. I know with almost certainty that NTSF has been backdooring and rigging raffles.

Haa I didn't even realize that it turned out like that spelling too for everything smh also. Funny I guess maybe I should proof read my posts lol. Thanks Teacher, Guess I flunked huh.

Yeah I'm 3 hours from a NIKESTORE and 45 mins from a mall that actually has shoe stores that carry sought after releases. Once they figure out how I have a fair shot at an online drop I will give them credit.

Come on Nike... Let the new yorkers test this thing out by releasing all the left over Chicago 1s in NY.

Pretty sure this is also affecting online releases as the online stock get sent to Nike stores to be picked up. I mean really do you think they would do all these delays and do a big announcement for something they're basically already doing besides extending the RSVP the 24 hours I'm pretty damn sure this also applies online

No?

How in gods name would that even be fair for majority of all online buyers? Most places don't even have Nike stores and that's if you even do outlets which a lot of places have barely 1 and usually far away

This isn't for online stock. This is just a change in how raffles are conducted at stores. You had no chance before, so this changes nothing.

Niketown and Nike outlets are different , right? Outlets here get very, very few releases so I'm in the this doesn't help me boat.

does anybody even read anymore?
You serious?

Niketalk is as illiterate as they come.

Stupid people are always complaining:

"I'm not going to read the last 5 pages of a thread"

"Hey Fam, don't want to read, can someone post the link"

"Lots of work tonight, don't want to read"

or

blah, blah, blah, don't want to read, blah, blah, blah.

Yeah it's a crazy drive since I get out around 3:30 when I need to go get raffles. I only go when into LA when local malls don't get the good releases. Most of the time I go to Tyler, Lakewood and Cerritos and I am set 95% of the time.

Shoot I make that drive from SD. Sucks because SD never gets size 15's so I have to make that drive.

Woah! That's like a 4-5 hour round trip . Damn you're a beast. Hope you get your pairs. I do like the drive down to SD though (using the 15)

Fam is in LA. Most of the time I'll go see them the weekend of and take that monday off. Plus the military discount at HOH makes it worth the trip sometimes.

If it doesn't effect online releases, which I think it does. (It's confusing) why put this is the press excerpt "If that's the case, people trying to game the system with bots, which complete the checkout process faster than a human possibly can, wouldn't necessarily have an advantage." Complete the checkout process faster than a human can-this only applies online, doesn't apply to winning a raffle and going to Niketown(gotta be outlets too). Also it would only apply to Major limited releases. There still gonna sell all there other ****.
